I used to know a raven that would SOLVE crimes. Honestly, the Rehab drama sounds like is half of a juicer story and sounds like there is a lot of inner drama the public is not privy given how fast they killed the show, how long it took the video to come out and that woman accepting it.

I was more making highlighting how the guy is trying to suggest that no one says bad things accidentally, because he never does (and it wouldn't be a bad thing if he did).

Like, yeah, no one says "cheese" accidentally because we can all say it without consequence at pretty much any moment in our lives, even with zero context. It's just a normal word.

People do say "Fuck!" accidentally though, because it is stored in our brain's bad word box, which we sometimes pull from without conscious intent in the improper context. Other bad words are no different. 

If you're in a position where "Fuck!" is not in your bad word box because it is never a problem for you to say it no matter the context, then yeah, no shit you never say it accidentally.

Reading this thread is making me realize how effective this social media "shit on Canada" push is. It's so fucking depressing.

They've been trying to manufacture consent at hyperspeed since they elected the pedophile again, and not even these spaces are safe from it. We had a guy in our Canada community thread get banned for a week simply because he told Canadians to not take the bait in this thread (which was only overturned hours later because of how many complaints they got). It's all so transparent.

Regardless of how tomorrow's Gold medal Men's Hockey match goes, it will be the same things in this thread again and none of it will get actioned.

I have said it already and I'll say it again: The fact that many posters (90% of the time Americans) have come into threads like this almost exclusively to shit talk Canada/Canadians who otherwise have shown zero interest in whatever the thread topic was prior. The post histories for said individuals have been very illustrative to that point.

I have noticed even going back to RE5's original release, that when a lot of counter-criticism for RE5's gross imagery was brought up, people tend to retort with this shallow whataboutism. There were a lot of dipshits saying "what about the Spanish zombies in RE4?" when trying to counter the RE5 criticisms. They even brought up the Spanish Civil War, like that had fuck all to do with it. It's a very surface level understanding of the situation. No one is saying one race can't be presented as zombies or enemies -- modern RE games have been pretty diverse with the enemy zombies, and that's just fine. But the issue is in the context of how they are presented and the setting itself, and RE5 completely fumbled the ball on that. I do not feel comfortable playing that game now because of how gross its imagery is.

Then gaming industry should ignore making story about black ppl? But is okay when killing Chinese and Spanish ppl?. So....RE should never ever ever make a story about Africa? or Nigerai or Somalia? But it's fine if it's Spain or Philippines or Korea? I don't get the point?

Limiting the forms a narrative can take due to arbitrary reasons is an awful thing. As a writer, it is actually sickening to see it being suggested so often.

Adjustments can be made, yes, but some of you really need to get over your insecurities and the sense that games need to be educational.

That being said, we're in a RE9 thread. I hypothesize this new chapter is going to provide some good training for what can be seen as necessary cognitive restructuring for many people - given the seemingly controversial nature of its story.

I'm sorry for mentioning streamers in unc central but I thought it was really sickening how Capcom paid off IShowSpeed before his African trip to have people wear grass skirts, live in sod and grass huts, and walk around shirtless on his stream. Just more gaslighting to convince people that there are places in Africa where people live like that to cover up for the neocolonialist lies of Resident Evil 5. Luckily I can see through the lies, as an American who has never left my country.
