yes the cdc instructions are known. i say to the cdc why did you assume i would wash my chicken Americanly, like a dumbass holding a baby in front of a firehose? Do people actually do this? Yes they probably do, and (i don't know why you felt the need to make all chicken washing illegal instead of just warning people about hidden splatter and remind them to be extra careful and extra clean, but can you in addition to the helpful suggestions also suggest the chicken farming and meat packing industries adopt standards that give a cleaner, safer product? like how the entire rest of the world manages to have less salmonella in their chicken. no? ok.)

That's honestly all I needed to know after reading the other thread. I understand people who say he shouldn't need to apologise for something entirely outside of his control, but I personally thought it was the right thing to do given the circumstances, so I'm glad to see him doing it.

To be blunt, is because the public wanted a public apology to them, rational thinking says he was going to try to do a private one.
