For full context, the original protest definitely was for sure some sorta gay anti-islam type thing, but the bomb was 100% thrown by counterprotesters (read: leftists) at the original right-wing demonstrators.

A reasonable person could interpret that first headline as "someone at an anti-islam protest threw a bomb at the mayor's house--possibly targeting mamdani himself". If you read the comments on imgur (not that it's exactly a bastion of deep thinkers), it's clear that many people interpreted it exactly that way.

I'm less worried about "smoking jars of metal'--despite being a retarded choice of words?--but the subheading still implies that the right-wing protestors were somehow the instigators or at fault. 

The problem here isn't that right-wingers are innocent angels being victimized by reverse racism, but there is an an issue with every act of political violence being rhetorically judo'd into somehow being the fault of the right.

At this point there's no doubt that Scream 7 is going to outgross Scream VI. Worldwide it's only 17m behind, domestically it's 15m behind, and internationally it's only 2m behind. It's also only 24m away from becoming the highest grossing entry in the entire franchise.

Furries aren't necessarily animal cosplayers. They're self-ascribed members of the Furry Community. There is no qualifier for a Furry (you don't need a fursuit) beyond self-identification. Therians are people who believe on some spiritual level that they have an animal spirit inside them, are guided by an animal, are part animal, etc.. It's an emotional/spiritual thing.

The former to me is a hobby and one I partake in; the latter has always seemed like it's tackily jacking Indigenous cultures, and as a result I don't really fuck with it.

Looking back, it's kind of nuts how Resident Evil 5 treated Jill

Jill was one of the faces of Resident Evil. She was one half of the main duo and got a solo game before Chris and Resident Evil 5 reduced her to a brainwashed damsel wearing a tight catsuit for Chris to save.

Also she's blonde for some reason

doubly funny since Code Veronica ends with Steven's body being retrieved by Wesker setting up something with Steve and Jill's last appearance in 3 ends with her looking for Chris while hanging out with Carlos. (side note it's so funny how RE2 and 3 sets up a mystery about Chris' whereabouts and Code Veronica is just "btw Chris is fine") so to someone who actually played the game, Jill being missing just makes no sense

Resident Evil 5 really damaged Jill's character so bad and I hope that a remake just cuts out the entire Jill subplot. There's like so much of the game that I just don't think is salvagable that you might as well change 90% of the game

I also want to point out that the media is doing more sanewashing on this for Trump. The post where he says he won't sign any other bills until the SAVE Act passes he lists the things the SAVE Act is supposed to do, with the last two listed being "NO MEN IN WOMEN'S SPORTS: NO TRANSGENDER MUTILIZATION FOR CHILDREN!" This is obviously the ramblings of a mad man and not part of the SAVE Act at all, yet the article in the OP and the Reuters article I saw this morning both chose to leave that out completely. "The president is refusing to sign bills" is newsworthy but also "The president has lost his fucking mind" should maybe also be up there in importance
