Funniest part for me is what's "factually wrong" about the headline is that the guy's counting from the player peaks from the expansion releases when Destiny 2 gets a surge of 3-6x the number of players that play otherwise. It'd be more accurate to say that it's lost 80% of its players over those same periods because the typical player count is much lower. But I also suspect the current valley is due to Marathon's release.

It would be relatively accurate to say since 2022, Destiny 2 has clearly lost 85+% of its player base. It was around ~150K players through much of 2023, end last year it fell off towards ~25K. I'm fine with saying this despite it being technically inaccurate because the trend is clearly down so by the end of 2026 what is me technically estimating the trendline out to get that ~25K average figure, it will be achieved by then if it doesn't actually get worse as players fail to return after Marathon. If they don't come back, the guys headline will be pretty accurate by the end of 2026.

I'm from the USA and my entire life I've wanted to travel to the UK, but was always too poor to do so. Well, my daughter is graduating high school this summer and for her graduation gift we are taking her to Europe for 2 weeks. It's a huge expenditure for us, but we wanted to make it special.

We had everyone list some things they wanted to do in each place so I'll list them here and maybe others can give some advice? I would appreciate it. We are starting in London.

Me-I'm a Beatles fan so I wanted to take a side trip to Liverpool. Also wanted to see Abbey Road Studios in London. I'd like to go to the British Museum. My wife wants to see a show on the West End-ideally Paddington, but from what I can see it's going to be sold out when we are there. My daughter wants to see The Tower of London, London Bridge and have a "tea" experience-I guess like sit down and be served proper tea. I'm a geek and I'd like to sneak off and see the Slough House filming location as I'm a fan of Slow Horses. I was thinking that we would stay in the Paddington area as it seems nice, hotels are cheaper than other areas and it's easy to take the Underground to other areas.

My daughter wants to do one day at Disneyland Paris. So we are going to take the train from London to there. Maybe another day in Paris proper. Then we will take the train to Berlin. We are still putting together our ideas about what to do in Germany-I want to see the Berlin Wall and we have some friends there.

I also know we are traveling at a time when our country is pretty much hated so that's not ideal.

Please go see at least ONE real castle while you're in Germany. It's something I've wanted to do for such a long time but my stupid job makes it hard for me to find the time to get out there. If I quit my job I plan to take a train across Europe and stop all kinds of places to take photos.

It can work better in other communities, where it's clear the people do care about each other. Lots of churches or social congregations where people struggling are shown compassion and given legitimate help by those in the group, and the words of love don't ring hollow even if many don't know the person very well, because they help anyway. I've seen it in Discords as well, although those are admittedly smaller and tighter knit.

But RE is a vicious community that sees a Nazi in each other's every shadow and they do their best to tear each other down to get off on being better than them and to raise their own social standing. So yeah, in their community, such declarations of love and care are completely laughable.
