Shit is depressing honestly, just even trying to paint light on the context of why everything is happening and trying to bring light to the plight of the Palestine people, even while denouncing Hamas, people still paint him in the worst light. I don't know what kind of kool aid you need to be drinking to see that clip and think this is some powerful moment and not some dude trying his hardest to press some tears out of his eyes. Also, that whole thing that happened at the funeral of that journalist is really fucked up, but when it comes to atrocities, be it from the IDF or Hamas, this seems to rank kind of low? Like I don't buy that this is the one that pushes you over the edge when previously talking about burned babies or bombed hospitals

I just can't wrap my head around supporting Hamas. It's not just like supporting Nazi Germany but specifically rooting for the Waffen SS. 

Even the most hardcore supporters of Nazi Germany will concede that the SS were there to do the dirty work and consider them to be a seperate entity from the 'honorable' armed forces.
In fact to this day, some believe the myth that the army (and perhaps even Hitler) didn't know what the SS was up to and wouldn't have approved it if they knew.
Much like people that romanticize the Soviet Union see the NKVD/KGB as either a necessary evil or a rogue element. They usually try to reconcile with that history by calling it a different time and the all time classic "not real communism".

Yet the pro-Palestine folks see Hamas as a group they must support AFTER they film themselves carrying out mass murder of innocent civilians many of whom weren't even Israeli.

Okay I’m embarrassed to ask this but I want to make sure I do the right thing here. The PTA at our school is having an event where beef hot dogs will be grilled/served. It’s a diverse group of parents and students from North and South America, as well as the Middle East and South Asia.

For those that have dietary restrictions, what would be the most all encompassing alternative type of dog (veggie, turkey, etc) and do those need to be cooked on separate grills?

Peoples assumptions and hopes on this forum about MS delving into the IP that they’ve purchased is never not amusing.

It wasn’t his best performance, but that’s mostly a result of poor voice direction (a recurring trend for BotW & TotK) as opposed to an issue with Matthew specifically. Well, at least beyond the obvious issue of a Matthew Mercer being a white man voicing a Middle Eastern-coded character.

Netanyahu is a criminal so it's not really a secret that he loves everything that is happening right now. It's geopolitical reasons that Israel is supported by western interest not the hate of Hamas. It's like trying to argue that Bush waged war in Iraq to free the people. They don't care about any of that shit. It's all about regional presence and influence.

In some ways it's more one of his worst nightmares; his appeal was "I am a strong man that is able to protect you!" but October the 7th that changed badly. In fact what polling we have shows a drastic lack of the "rally around the flag" effect.

I think if he can parlay this into a huge landgrab or wipe Palestinian presence out of Gaza then he will be the victor and history belongs to the victors. Then the whitewashing, spin and suppression of dissenting views will take hold. All discussion of the region or the plight of Palestinians will vanish from the news cycle the moment the western media wants it to.

The only good that anyone and take from this is that discussion wise on socials I've never seen more people being educated on Palestinian hardships and supporting them. The traditional MSM narratives on this are becoming agitating for a a lot of people and then you have Muslim Journos being removed from the air. It's all become pretty embarrassing for the west. This forum in particular has been incredible for open discussion on this.
