A bunch of the smug replies are giving wrong answers btw, they talk about tabbing that would move you to the next item on the screen, not allow you to interact with any of them. One probably AI response even says to "alt-tab" which would move you to a different window. lol

I really can't consider this niche knowledge or some legacy thing, it's been a component of not just Windows but the Macintosh interface forever (and so most windows interfaces across everything), and those have always used the mouse. Even many touch interfaces have methods for this if the touch interaction stops working, like Android apps can use the on-screen keyboard function for navigation. It should be logically obvious imo that there must be other methods in case one stops working. Apparently this is a niche tech expert understanding of things that you had to be taught and not obvious inference of any system.

What keys do WHAT is the legacy, why change what's established?
