The source was a fairly mainstream YouTube channel that I suppose I can't name? There was nothing conspiratorial in the video, it was a YouTube short of live footage from the DNC protest.

My kids have grown up on Nintendo, starting with Mario Kart 8 and Mario Odyssey and it's been a big part of my life as well. We saw the Mario movie the day before we went into the park and I was honestly shocked how Nintendo the entire world felt. The tunnel and the way they designed the world so that it feels like its own thing (Harry Potter areas are similar) is just so well done. For me ti was surreal and never ending smiles on the pipe escalator and then the way the world opens up. We loved all the rides. Even the lame baby Yoshi ride was a nice chill out with no lines. But they nail so many details and the little mini games you can do with the watch that are so well done. They surpass the little wizard wand tricks (which are also very cool) in the Harry Potter worlds. I think my kids spent over an hour doing these little games around the world and it culminates with an actual boss fight that you do with a bunch of other people. And like a Nintendo game its all kind of hidden but in plain site.

At Universal the lines were generally manageable except for Hagrid's motorbike. It's an awesome ride but went in early and it was still 2.5 hours. It's probably the best ride at those 2 parks but man that line sucks. Even at closing we spent another hour plus in line to get on it again. Seems like the express pass ratio is messed up or the ride had problems. Hard to say because we were just waiting forever.

Donkey Kong looks better than its rides. It really looks like the coaster in the game. But it feels tamer than that when actually on the ride. Not sure how you pull off jumps and all the other crazy stuff that happens in the game, but I agree it could have been better. Loved the theme though in general and I felt they nailed it at Nintendo World. As good as the Harry Potter stuff IMO, which is on par or better than most stuff at Disney.

Hagrid has this intangible thing going on where on a normal scale of A ticket to E ticket, it's like an S ticket in popularity. Express seems to have added to the average wait time, but it was never short to begin with. People in the park are magnetized to it.

Hagrid is one of the best rides I have ever been on. You really feel like you are on a flying motorcycle and the drops and surprises are just perfect. Still not sick of it.

But the wait is brutal.

One very important tip about Epic Universe. Since the Express Pass they sell there is single use only, mornings can be crazy for lines but we found that by 3-4pm onwards most of the lines were all very reasonable since everyone used up their express passes. Even the Harry Potter Ministry ride was only a 35-45 minute wait in the evening.

Yeah last time I was there the park basically died after 5pm. Ministry was basically a walk on at around 8pm, etc. This will undoubtably change when passholders have an option to get in, but as of now most people are going to arrive early and burn out several hours before the park closes.

Heading back to Universal in 2 months. Can't wait. Last time a few years ago was before Epic so it will be our first time there. Velocicoaster is my favorite coaster ever. But I think my kids are more excited than me to ride it again. I enjoy Hagrids. I hope Stardust lives up to what I've heard. But as a longtime Nintendo nerd, I'm most interested in the Nintendo area at Epic. Not just for rides...I think more for the theming and being immersed in it all.

I have to say the Harry Potter stuff was good but it didn't hit as hard for us as the last two areas did. The ride was cool. I didn't really get the show because I didn't see the newest movie. And the Nintendo stuff was just better than the wands (which we loved previously).

It's state of the art. Like every part felt that way to me. The effects on Mario, the monsters and Harry Potter are amazing.

Velocicoaster is honestly an awesome ride but for me Hagrid's and Stardust are the two most fun rides in the park (thats just me). Stardust felt like it was 3 rides crammed into one.

Definitely a big improvement, but it does feels like they fixed half of it but left the other half untouched. You've lost the doe eyes and baby fat, but kept the little button nose and smiling, puckered lips. The mouth could be read as just a different mood versus previous art, but the nose does feel like they're still clinging to at least one aspect of their default female face. She's older and more confident now, but is still affecting a very friendly presentation without any harshness to her.

Ah, but ya can't please everyone. This schizo neckbeard demands more than just half-measures! Now age her up 20 years and juice her on steroids.
