Only if the entire game is on the disc/cartridge. Basically lost interest in physical when installing the disc became mandatory during the PS4/Xbox One era.

Switch 2 is a lot worse too, with the game key card shit.

Yeah, I'm still buying physical because it's usually cheaper here and I still like owning shit.

However, I draw the line at Game Key Card releases. Those I will only buy when they are on clearance and cheaper than digital.

I'm a price sensitive buyer rather than a convenience buyer.

I wanted to go Switch 2 only and only digital.

So far I've managed to hold out on Switch only better than expected.
Only digital I'm starting to doubt as some games are simply way cheaper physical. I'll probably break the rule for Resident Evil and Xenoblade X that releases next week.
GameKey Cards aren't a big deal, most games were already Gamekey games starting from the Xbox One era and perhaps even earlier, simply unplayable without patches.

Also if you sell it within a reasonable timeframe it'll hold some resale value as the quantities of the Gamekey Card releases seem rather low and some things like the Resident Evil Generation Pack get limited prints. Missed out on that one and by now it goes for double the launch price.

The Nintendo Switch 2 Editions are mostly out of whack when it comes to pricing. Xenoblade X is ~30 used on Switch, the upgrade pack is 5. So that's 35.
A new Physical copy of the Switch 2 ed. will cost 65. New the Switch ed. is 48. Adding the upgrade pack lands at 53.

I do feel this is the time for selling the old "junk" (i.e. third party Wii, Wii U, GameCube games etc.) because I find that there is little interest in those games. Even less for Mega Drive stuff.
Traded in Sonic & Knuckles got 50 for it. Guy put it up for 99, hasn't sold it. Probably will never sell it at that price.

Slowed down a lot for me, but still buying physical Switch games, yeah.  Very little for Switch 2 because I don't want game key cards.

And even then you have to be careful with Switch 2 releases- Sega took their sweet time with the physical version of the latest Sanic racing game.  I was going to get it, but turns out that despite not being listed as a game key card it might as well be. You have to download 16 GB worth of data to play it.

The last physical game I bought was Assassin's Creed: Valhalla. It was my first Series X game, and the first physical game I had bought for years. I only got it because it was super cheap with Amazon Prime, despite being a pre-order.
