That aside is when they were going over the paper work I learned they charged by the eye and because one growth is bigger, they charge more to remove it. Not only that, I have to pay for the actual surgery AND the to rent the room it happens is. I was tempted to ask if they could do it in the waiting room or parking lot for a discount.

When I was younger I wanted to be a chef. The advice I was given is try working as a dishwasher to see if you like restaurant life.

So I did this for 6 months. Weekend dinner service was a nightmare. You're in a hot dish pit, sweating and getting food all over your apron.

I also got to do prep cook stuff. Peel potatoes, cut up vegetables. That was fun. You were also a runner for the cooks, getting stuff from the walk-in during dinner rush.

It was awful tho. I did enjoy the people, tho. Restaurant people are built different.

I recently had a debate with people online about where the term originated. There's some bullshit academic definition about Africa and the southern hemisphere, but the only definition that makes sense is that it's yet another Americanism referring to the industrialised northern states and the backwater southern states of the US civil war period.
