Yeah I saw it later, I just disagree with the tone of the article and OP. We can't ignore that the emoji is indeed a whistleblower (trust me, I've been into the vtubing fandom) but implying that that's what Capcom is doing is gross, we should be talking about how Capcom may be enabling those people and that maybe they should look into changing that.

You're right, let me edit the title

"Pedos are interested in this game." I'm sure, and I can guarantee some pedos are into Persona 3 because of Ken, but we don't center them by acting like the game was made for them or that they're the primary demographic who play the game because that would be a crazy way to talk about a video game. We don't need to rush to cede ground to these people.

Capcom should probably get rid of the emote, since it might piss those people off and certainly people will second guess its usage now with articles like this popularizing the idea of it as a deliberate dogwhistle. But I also wouldn't see it as proof that they were intentionally pandering if they don't get rid of it, because they might not want to seem influenced by what they must assume is an extremely small percentage of the playerbase.

But a close friend had me play the demo on Switch 2 about a month ago so I was like "oh this is kinda alright", but the thing is now…
