Wow, just reading through and realizing Fat4All is gone… and got a ban for such a legendary thread… wtf, super sad news. Fat4All was a known jokester but I never saw particularly antagonistic behavior. Glad she's doing well in real life at least.

Didn't reply to that thread but saw it in the moment and it was so incredibly well done. One of the few I made the effort to show my wife and give her the background on. RIP

I know it was almost 2 weeks ago but I didn't know about the situation until today, can we get some kinda clarification on what happened with Fat4all. Why a 3 month ban for that? Why no mod note on the thread? She's pretty much gone (not that anyone would blame her) but it still would be nice to know the thought process behind that decision.

I mean ... its listed in the first post. Trolling & Antagonizing Fellow Member; Long History of the Same.



Its an unfortunate loss for the community, but ultimately it was the creating of a thread for the sole purpose of laughing at the expense of one user's longstanding fascination with Marriott hotels. Bullying is bullying, however you cut it. I completely get why the mod team did this.

Also, keep in mind the length of a ban is also based on the length of other bans you've had in the recent past, especially if they're in a similar category. Regardless, it's very unfortunate she's requested account deletion. I'll miss her posts here.



Mods really should have put a closure note in that thread though.

Agree should get a note, but we aren't supposed to discuss bans here. I would just drop a ticket on the thread/post asking for a note.

Fat often plays with fire and this is the result. I have a feeling they don't disagree with the decision.

Kind of hard not to notice every time there is a Hasan thread posted here the same people come in to tell everyone how much they totally don't know him or care about him and derail things until a mod shuts it down.

Maybe just because I have a high tolerance for Hasan threads at this point, it hadn't even really gotten off the rails that badly. Just laser focused on Mao as a person because of one poster. When they went to bed the thread hummed along okay enough relatively speaking.

Yesterday my 12-yr old daughter came out to me as transgender. I gave them a hug and told them I loved them. The sexuality of my children really doesn't concern me; I'm happy if they are happy. I did ask them to give me some grace as I adjust from she/her to they/them/it. I mean, I still call my Subaru my Jetta, even though I've owned two other cars since I last owned a Jetta in 2015. I'm going to slip up.

That's not where my conflict lies. I am proud of them and support whatever they want to do, however, we live in an extremely right-wing and religious town. I fully intend to support them however I can, but I also want to caution them about broadcasting their sexuality in this town. I want to prepare them for what might come their way and I don't want it to seem like I am trying to silence them or that I am not proud of them. I'm just concerned about their well-being. They identified as gay earlier in the year, so I don't know if their identity will change again or not. I've never been a 12-yr old female that identified as trans; this is new to me. I just want to be there for them and make sure they are as happy as they can be.

Just today I had to pull my son out of high school for the day because a classmate said "I feel sorry for people of the LGBTQ community for being "like that" and that "instead of throwing the Jews in the concentration camps like they deserved we should throw the gays in there instead". We are Jewish. Was that kid was being a garden variety fuck or was he deliberately saying that to my son because of his sister? I don't know.

I want them to be safe and I am struggling a bit on how to have that conversation. Any suggestions would be welcome. My apologies if this comes off rambling; the concentration camp comment has be a bit fired up.

If your child came out as non binary, which I'm assuming from the pronouns, then you don't have a "daughter" anymore.

Real talk: the dude should ask her why she thinks she is trans and do a search in both her social media feed and friend circle. Not mentioning the fact to try to get her a real therapist before you start validating shit like pronouns.

I'm in the same boat OP. I'm a single dad of two girls, 11, and 12. The 11 year old is trans. I kind of knew this might be the case, as they'd often talk about wanting to be a boy even at an early age.

Scripting fight scenes is extremely difficult, especially when it comes to animation. Typically, a screenwriter isn't going to be the one writing out the exact flow of a fight scene from beat to beat. They'll write the dialogue, and they might specifically call out particular moments, especially if they're callbacks to previous moments or if it's integral to have a specific character do a specific thing for story reasons.

But the thing about fight scenes is that most of the time it's the choreographer and cinematographer's job to make a fight flow properly, because they're the ones that actually make the fight happen. Most writers are not action choreographers. And then when you extend this to animation, you kinda have to let the professionals do their jobs. You're just the one putting the story on paper, you aren't the one dictating specific shots.
