Your very first interaction with women in the game after the opening cutscene is attempting to spy on them and only revealing yourself when one is about to be raped. I'm obviously not saying the game is going to have white supremacist or misogynist ideology outright shoved in your face, but stuff like this slips through the cracks. This isn't some awful thing that transpires later in the game, it's how women are presented to you first and foremost.

About the KCD 2 opening thing it's two young guys trying to spy on women bathing.qgi are interrupted before anything really happens. Then the rest of the game feature strong women in prominent roles helping the good guys and being important. Not historical people, but mostly characters invented to add strong women to the cast which they could have easily not done if they where the kind of people you accuse them of being. You continuously try to seperate specific small things while ignoring their part in the greater whole. No scene exists in a vaccum.

This is why it's important to experience something before trying to speak with authority on it and why you should probably be open to listen to the people who actually have that context.

Edit: If you want to say that there is probably a bit of a "bro" culture at the dev team then I would say that there is stuff pointing to that and I think there might be. It`s the nazi accusations I take issue with.

Pushback does not have to be public. For the vast majority of cases it's preffered that that kind of stuff is handled in-house if possible and not in the public eye.

Considering Vavra is no longer involved with the game side of things and the content of the games there might very well have been pushback. We won't know without inside formation.
