There is a game being developed that was initially going to be from the point of view as Aztec fighting the conquistadors. Under pressure it has been changed because gamers can't help but not be able to relate to colonizer White oppressors.

So, you can say I boycott. My native queer non binary side is a very large part of me

...And upgrade it to full on companies. I think I have been GIVEN an Activision game (one of the spiderman games from the PS3 era) but considering it's a Call of Duty factory I'm sincerely doubt they won't get me back with anything and yes as fun as Spyro and crash are I'm not going back.

Human beings are attracted primarily by beauty and aesthetic pleasure. Beauty is primarily that of the face which conveys over 90% of personal charm.

If we take two subjects, one with a 4 and the other with a 7, and have them voted by a statistically valid sample of people, their votes can only reflect their position on the aesthetic scale.

Some will rate 7 as 6 or 8 and 4 as 3 or 5 but in large numbers both subjects under evaluation will obtain the average score of 4 and 7.

If instead we asked voters not to give a numerical vote but simply to say who in their opinion is the most beautiful of the two subjects, well practically everyone (if not all) would agree in preferring 7.

This is why beauty is objective, and not subjective.

A David Gandy will always be preferred to the "bad guy", and if someone really thinks that the two have equal opportunities because "beauty is subjective" it is better for him to be seen by a good one.

If beauty were subjective everyone would have an equal chance of being attractive (which is obviously nonsense) and the concept of beautiful and ugly wouldn't even exist.

The fact that we talk about beauty and ugliness is already in itself the denial of subjectivity.

Beauty can be subjective to the limit when referring to two people who are objectively on the same level, for example between photomodel A and photomodel B (both 9), there are those who will prefer one and those who prefer the other. However, the preference percentages will be around 50% for each.

Once we have established that beauty is objective, we can ask ourselves, what are beautiful somatic features?

Well, there are many and they are the ones that we can commonly find in the various high-level models who are paid precisely by virtue of their beauty. Got diagnosed yesterday after almost falling faint from what I thought was a sinus infection and a lack of appetite from said infection. Hopped on over to my local urgent care center, told them my symptoms, and we were all sure from what I was describing it was just a sinus infection, brought on from the cold weather. They did the nasal swab just in case, and upon returning the nurse said "Sooooo...." And I knew right then and there. My luck had run out. My dream of immunity dashed. My three-year no-sickness streak ruined. I likely picked it up at my friend's rock concert; I still wear a mask everywhere I go in public, but given how small the venue was for how many people were there, it was probably inevitable lol.

On the bright side, it feels exactly like the colds I used to have as a kid: sleepiness, stuffiness, dry, irritated nasal cavities, and a wet cough. No altered taste, sore throat, breathing difficulties, or anything more exotic. I'm also able to sleep well. The worst thing honestly is the methylprednisolone tablets I have to take. They're fucking nasty no matter how quick you are getting them down.

So I'm stuck in my bedroom for five days, taking food and drink passed by the doorway like an inmate. Just gonna sleep, Discord, and work on my Steam backlog... oh yeah, Sonic Frontiers. I need to finish that too.

So yeah just wanted to vent (cry). Anyone else going through it right now?

I had it a month or two ago. The good news is that if you have mild symptoms, like it seems like you do, it should be easy going. Just make sure you stay hydrated. For me the hardest part was eating, because my lava-throat was so bad I couldn't swallow anything except pudding and yogurt.

I'm just glad you're able to SLEEP. When I had it, the brain noise I was getting was so loud it was impossible to get to sleep and stay asleep.

One of the days I was sick, my brain literally spent an entire night with my imagination trying to catalog technical schematics and system diagnostics for A FICTIONAL STARSHIP IT WAS MAKING UP ON THE SPOT.

I was so angry at myself, I'm like "THIS IS STUPID. WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS, BRAIN. JUST SHUT UP AND GO TO SLEEP". It didn't help. Sleeping pills didn't help either.

Sore throats are the worst, yeah. I get them a lot because I'm a singer who takes terrible care of their voice, and the lava-throat I got from COVID was comparable to the post-nasal drip URIs I would get every single year when I had to live through Chicago pollen season. Couldn't swallow anything solid, had to subsist entirely on liquids and soft foods like Jello for days.

If you're not getting the post-nasal drip and the lava-throat, you're in good shape. Especially since you're able to sleep too. Fingers crossed you recover swiftly!
