Ok so, things were good for a grand total of a month, before this piece of shit hatched a new fucking scheme. He's been running his fucking TV at night past 11PM on some playlist of Ancient Aliens/Alex Jones/Christian Nationalist nonsense and keeping me awake for hours on end, in addition to likely using a noisemaker positioned in his bedroom. Called the cops with a noise complaint multiple times about this, but every fucking time they claim they heard nothing. Was kept awake to four fucking AM this morning.

Anyway, I head out this morning to get some fucking breakfast since the stress of all this fuckload of shit is making me fall behind on doing dishes, and fuckknob comes out of his bedroom to confront me for calling the cops on him and basically fucking confesses to the scheme, and claims he sleeps with his TV on, the TV that is keeping me fucking awake all hours of the night.

Unfortunately, since I was mentally exhausted from my current 48 or so hours of being awake and trying to leave the premises to get some food, I didn't think to start recording until he started hurling slurs at me, and he stopped immediately upon me pulling up my phone  to record.



I'm at my wits fucking end right now and at this point this is overt Constructive Eviction, which is giving me no choice but to seek out a new residence since the landlord and building manager are dragging their feet.

Unfortunately the real red meat was before I started recording. This guy can wind-down on command the moment cameras come out, so I've had a difficult time capturing just how much of a fucking psycho he is on video.

Saber sounds exactly like a Era member. Confronting a dude with that shaky bitchmade voice like hes about to cry.

So I decided to look up his name, and I found the guy has a fucking criminal record for B&E and Trespassing - Saw the mugshot and it was him 100%, along with it listing his current address. So I'm living directly above a person with a felony history, who plays the fucking victim whenever anyone stands up to him.

I can't find if he was convicted, but I see the history of being charged and booked.

Being soft as Charmin and picking fights with a guy that might have spent time in the pokey too.

They let staff handle the site in the way we've been handling it for years. What MOBA does with AI is their own business and it doesn't affect us and we aren't being forced to use it in any way

One of the craziest i things i learned when joing the workforce is, the appearance of work is more important then the quality or efficiency of work. Often i would complete my work faster than expected and higher quality because i figured out better ways of doing it. But then i was told find something else to do, shit that wasn't even my job. that lead to me just taking my time with tasks, shit you best believe i sent some 2 sentience emails that took 15 minutes to craft before quiting time. It was boomer ass thinking, happily adopted by tech bros that more grind equals better work.

We should be encouraging allowing people to figure out how to get from A to B their own way. It more often than not benefits the entire group.

Look I can agree to not be rude but I'm also not going to be polite about it. If somebody posts AI slop in a thread, I'm just going to tell them straight-up to not post the image or video. This is the real problem with Evil Superman conceptually, especially with ersatz versions that don't have kryptonite or yellow sun situations, at a certain point they can't go further and there's no satisfactory way to stop them. Even in the far more free world of comics few are willing to depict just how much death will be required just to get close. Mark Millar being the notable exception probably.

I haven't watched The Boys so I had no clue until the finale and its discourse how far they had gone in a different direction with Homelander as in the comics, but this problem was something the comic actually structually dealt with, presumably because Ennis, at least based on Hitman, knew this was something without an actual solution. So Homelander wasn't evil.

It's funny because comics are usually more clever and honest when dealing with gods or similar entities. The funniest "stopping a human become a God" maybe being reality altering Hal Jordan symbolically dying to an arrow to his armor. They knew Oliver had to stop him but seemingly realized there was no way Oliver actually could do anything about the situation. "Ah, they won't really notice or care because The Big Bang happens again right after."

Or the manager is scared of the felon. Saber has said he is not the only one that has complained about the neighbor and the manager has dragged his feet about it to the point of letting the others tenants go.

Saber is also an established liar, however. So I am reluctant to believe his claims about others on their face. I'm more inclined to believe the manager sees two problem tenants versus that he's scared for his life from the felon he knowingly rented to.

I'm not here for the gameplay. I'm here for the characters, story, art, and mini-games. What am I missing by not logging in? My idle numbers go up a little bit? Maybe I'll earn an extra ten pull a month compared to just logging in a few times a week?

My time is worth more than that. Once you free yourself from the daily log-in requirements in gacha you have a lot more fun.

I've retired from Resetera but I felt the need to pop up in this thread for a couple of reasons, and I'll tackle this one first.

I think that, while it was pretty obvious the fact that we don't know the future beyond the Christmas special made it pretty obvious that it was being thrown out there to tamp down the rampant negative speculation around what is supposed to be a valuable brand, the idea that they'd rope in RTD's involvement without his foreknowledge is mental beyond belief. For one thing, the BBC isn't going to put out a press release that leaves them open to a fucking law suit for interfering with Russell's schedule without his consent which, let's be clear, announcing him being tied to one more year on Doctor Who was bound to do. For another, I don't see someone with the lingering animosity towards the BBC, like RTD does, just playing along with such a move for the sake of public appearances. If the BBC announced a Christmas special written by him, without discussing it with him, he'd have came down on them harder than a sack of bricks because, again, they'd be getting in the way of potential contracts and work schedules he could be cracking on with that he wanted to do but wasn't offered, or withdrawn, because the BBC unilaterally declared him busy.

What we do know is that Russell at the end of last year said he hadn't even began writing the scripts yet, while also starting to distance his personal legacy from Doctor Who, with him saying that Doctor Who isn't going to feature in his obituary when he passes away. Which is a ridiculous statement on every level, not to mention a drastic change in tone from just a year before. To me, he seemed already checked out and if he really isn't filming anything this year, he's delivered his scripts to let the BBC do with them as they please and washed his hands of involvement going forward.

Which brings me to point 2, and to return to a drum I've beaten very loudly through a news item that seems to have slipped under the radar here; With Russell revealing to The Guardian that Tip Toe features a character named Stephanie, a gender critical friend of Alan Cumming's protagonist and inspired by his own gender critical friends who are "only toxic in the online space," I reiterate that Russell is an increasingly out of touch writer who harms his own progressive ideals, either through his clumsy writing or opening his trap. Doctor Who is better off if he has thrown up his hands and walked away, even with all the loose strands left by his 5 season plan, the Whoniverse project collapsing in on itself and the eleventh hour gambit he threw together by photoshopping Billie Piper's head onto Ncuti Gatwa's shoulders.

And I say this because the fact that RTD can write a drama about the increasingly hostile environment queer people face and then, in a post-supreme court ruling world that segregated trans people from society, claim that gender criticals are lovely people just expressing concerns and can be reasoned with through a lovely in real life chat should serve to underline that he totally misses the point of his own prestige drama, and that he has a pretty flimsy grasp of themes when they don't directly relate to his own personal life experience. Something that I've been putting on blast from the day he said he made the creative decision to have the 13th Doctor's clothes regenerate to protect unready audiences from the sight of The Doctor wearing drag, in probably the one fictional setting in British media most primed to confront audiences with gender non-conforming visuals and storytelling.

And while I'm sure those who still go to bat for RTD will go "well it's not going to be any more trans friendly without him," I should be clear that I don't expect a trans friendly, or even compassionate Doctor Who moving forward under the current BBC. If there is a Doctor Who moving forward, considering the compassionate elements of the show are pretty baked in. But I also firmly believe that his inability to engage with themes beyond a very surface level, meant to cook up rage bait headlines in the tabloid presses more than they were to engage with audiences, is precisely why this era of Doctor Who didn't connect with progressive audiences or marginalised communities it was trying to court.

Russell T Davies is not the daring writer or compelling storyteller people had him pegged as, and it's very evidently all collapsed as a result.

I made the decision to mostly retire for constructive reasons with regards to my career choices in helping others recover from addiction. It's all positive stuff.
