What do we think about Forza Horizon 6?

To me it looks a lot like Forza Horizon 5 which I dropped quickly but this is NIPPON during a COVID lockdown and not Mexicans.

If you've played one, you've played them all. 

Not sure how they can change up the formula to actually improve on it though. Guess it depends on the reward system. The slot machine shit hands out cool cars way too fast. 

One review also mentioned how the UI design didn't evolve. I absolutely hate how soulless modern UI design is. Shit seems designed to do your taxes, not play a fun game.

Yup it seems cool but also too vanilla again.

Ever since Horizon 2 these games do very little with the settings and are just too "generic". 
Nothing really ever stops you, there is no career goal or progression.

Japan has Yakuza, illegal car racing clubs, cults and all types of weird shit but nothing like that will be in the game.

If it wanted to be accurate to the modern Japan car scene, you’d spend most of the game advertising “the real Tokyo drift experience!” on instagram and driving tourists to parking lots.

Buying Bungie is working out great for Sony. 3.6 billion well spent.

The post-Microsoft Bungie story is just wild. I think that according to the original roadmap they agreed with Activision we'd be at Destiny 5 by now.

It was something like a Destiny game + 4 DLC expansions every two years. Like Destiny (2014), 4 DLC (2015), Destiny 2 (2016), 4 DLC (2017), Destiny 3 (2018) which is hilariously absurd in retrospect.

I kind of regret playing GTA5 on PS3 because my save died when I put away the system and sometimes I liked just driving around the map. So preferably, I’d wait until PC. Also I’m not taking my PS5 with me to Japan. If I happen to be in America at the time, maybe I’ll make a bad decision and buy it.

I’ve not kept up with the PS5 Pro stuff. My assumption is it’ll be 30 FPS on base PS5. Struggle frame rate.

Is it GTA5 people are buying or is it just GTA Online? 

I've never played it, never been interested in playing it and kind of just ignored that it existed outside of seeing it chart constantly.

GTA Online seems to have kept it huge for 13 years now. Never fact checked but there were stories about all the single player dlc cancelled in favor of GTA Online content.

Really, if GTA Online wasn’t broken in its initial rollout, I could’ve seen myself getting into it. Sort of grateful it was nigh unplayable on PS3.

i actually think GTA online was its most fun when it was totally broken and full of hackers, i.e. the first christmas/winter

joining lobbies where hackers were invincible but being killed by tanks sitting on them. billions of dollars being handed out. endless chopper and jet chaos.

then they turned it into real life simulator where you either work IRL & shark card, or work in game to build businesses, earn money and buy cars.
