The way they use "war crime" it makes me wonder what the part of war is that isn't a war crime. Like it's just some redundant vestigial phrase. (See also: "illegal war" in that one post quoted, what would they consider a "legal war"? What Luigi did?)

Also the posts suggesting these guys are guilty of something (and so deserving of punishment) because other crew of the same type of planes, or members of the same multi-million person group, have done "war crimes" in the past century are incredible.

When they say ‘war crime’ it has nothing to do with the specific act committed or means used for said act. It refers to the target of said act. 

If it’s a ‘good’ target, ‘yaas Queen’, ‘FAFO’, ‘reap what you sow’.
 ‘Bad’ target? ‘This is the most horrific genocide to ever be genocide. Haul them in front of the Geneva convention for the death penalty!’

The way this country deliberately makes getting healthcare, education and living wages almost impossible to get make the military one of the only means that underprivileged, poverty level families are granted access to them. Not everyone joins the reasons you think. For some it's the only way to afford an education, for others the only way to provide life saving medical care for their family. This is the reality for many minorities like myself who had few if any options.

Grow up and step outside of your privileged, classist takes you feel so necessary to air on a forum for internet brownie points on the smoldering graves of eight Americans. Fuck the imperialism America engages in, but it has nothing to do with the individual lives that join. You realize that's the only way some trans folks (used to be) able afford to be the person they truly are, right? If you have a bone to pick, take it up with the power structures that corrupt this country that MAKE IT so that joining the military is their ONLY option to survive.

That last line feels a bit detached from the issue at heart here. These crew members won't see anywhere near the returns or acclaim that he's getting on this movie, and the 'work for exposure' bit is just as useless as it was 15-20 years ago when that was becoming more of a thing for film/tv workers. There's no guarantee of work now, and I imagine some of these people might be blackballed for complaining. I feel, considering this was his project and that he brought all these people together to work on this, he has a responsibility to make them more whole in light of this movie being a massive success. He's certainly raking it in, why can't his crew members get their fair share?



Also, it's really amusing to me to see so many people in this thread dismiss the female crew member's complaints and feelings on the matter, which is kinda what this movie hits at when it comes to dismissing a woman's sense of agency and personhood in favor of a man's wants and needs.

You all have no idea how many times I was getting ready to crashout and wage war over this like system thing because it's really a small part of a much larger conversation but then decided to delete my post. It's tempting but if I were to do it, I'm going THERE. This poster was also very hyped that "XBOX was back" during the Gears exclusivity talk just a week ago.  Sony ponies do this shit too where it's FUCK SONY when there are layoffs or Japan Studio gets closed down, but they open up their wallets the very next month when the next big game comes out.

I don't know Mediking's exact position but I at least kinda share the frustration just in that it often feels like when there's a suggestion for a fun feature to add some whimsy to the site it's heavily shot down.



Customizable logos were probably my favorite feature added to the site in a while because it's just a cute thing that added some fun personalization.

Obviously things are extremely grim with Xbox game studios right now. For the longest time they were my favourite 1st party publisher this gen, publishing interesting creative titles like Psychonauts 2, Pentiment, Grounded, Hifi-Rush etc, closing Tango was the first punch in the face and since then things seem to get more grim year by year. To me what made my love my Xbox was much more the likes of Double Fine and Obsidian and stuff like high quality RTS and flight sims on consoles than the big mainstread Halo's and CODS and Elder Scrolls'. Kinda done now.. If they close Double Fine I doubt I'll have any interest in Helix..



Sony kinda has abandonded publishing things that appeal to me. I still love Housemarque dearly and Saros is great, but seems like even they're just iterrating on that Returnal formula now upping the production values a bit each time. What happend to smaller infititely replayable arcade games like Resogun and Nex Machina that they were the best in the industry at.. Astro Bot is also good stuff but rest of their 1st party stuff just doesnt appeal. Obviously Playstation still gets plenty of great games from 3rd parties etc..



Nintendo is still capable of great quality. Yoshi and the Mysterious Book is such a great underrated game and one of the best this year, Banananza was also wonderful.. but I dunno. we're a year into Switch 2 and the exclusive game lineup is really lacking compare to the original Switch at the same point. The summer direct was just bafflingly dull filled with ports from other consoles and more switch 2 updgrades of switch games and the big summer release being an n64 remake and the big release of the year being another N64 remake. Enough rehahashing. If Switch has released with a Zelda remake instead of a fresh take on the franchise in Breath of the Wild it wouldn't have been anywhere near as good of a console.



Mostly been having fun playing old games from GoG on my PC anyway so maybe its best to give consoles a break for now. Not gonna rush out and sell my boxes but my interest has greatly dropped with the direction the industry is heading.
