Just want to come in and express my agreement that IS are currently the worst writers in videogames. Awakening was bordering on unacceptable, Fates was by far the worst written game I've ever played, and Engage was essentially just Fates again but now presented as a children's show.

I've said it before but I have no doubt a 13 year old could have written a more entertaining and mature story than IS when it came to Fates and Engage. That the writers who pushed that shit out are not embarrassed or publicly apologizing for it makes me question their humanity or how they got their job.

That may sound harsh or rude, but that's how bad it is. It's borderline inhuman how bad they are. My best hope is that IS were using the early stages of AI machine learning when coming up with those plots and characters, which expresses just how dire it is.

Learning that KT aren't involved and the writers are IS is definitely disheartening. Will have to wait for reviews, and even those probably aren't trustworthy. Will wait for fan feedback. Luckily Trails in the Sky SC comes out on the same day so I won't be want for entertainment at least.

I remember that they hired a big name anime/game writer for Fates but he dumbed down the story on purpose because some relative opinion.

People like Three Houses, but I suspect ERA likes it because “lesbians”.

I'm more sour about the lack of PC support. I get it, but I have a monster PC that I want to play Sony games on rather than my Pro. :(
In any case, just throwing out the word AI in corporatespeak is meaningless to me. Like what kind of AI and for what use are you utilizing it? Headcount is up, so that's a plus, as that means it's not necessarily cannibalizing their labor force like Microsoft's seems to be with its serious multiple studio layoffs and restructurings (No console-warring intended, just noting in an anecdote that Microsoft is suffering self-inflicted blows to its own headcounts in studios).

TW3 made it very clear that CBP was gonna be progressive as hell. Even the first demo we saw had stuff like a whole kidnapping operation being shot up to rescue a single rich person whose insurance is so good that the cavalry instantly arrives while everyone else is left to rot, showcases corporate corruption, and generally showing us "Yea this is a bad future."

What's with all the Planes and helicopter deaths lately

these small planes should have way more rigorous maintenance

Maybe, it's just my perception being skewed, but it feels like a lot of rich/influential/powerful people have died in helicopter or small plane accidents over the past few years.

On a long car ride with my dad a month ago we were talking about Stevie Ray Vaughn and his crash, and then I went down an hour or so hole looking up musicians, actors, etc who have died in private crafts. It was wild, and I couldn't believe how many of them were because of pilots not licesed to do instrument flying, amongst other things.

Yeah, I was wondering what James Horner had been up to in terms of scores as I'd not really thought about him nor seen his name anywhere, another plane crash victim.

Wait, James Horner.. surely, I mean he's been making music for films on a yearly basis to this day, hasn't he? I had to go and check if this is really recent news but...
I must have read the news of his death 11 years ago but there's only so much room for bad news and recent years have done a number on that part of my memory.

Why is it always a Cessna 421 aircraft on the news more often? It is like these aircraft models have more issues. I have heard a lot of Cessna crashes on the news.

Yeah I continue to be freaked out by private aviation. I know commercial airlines are extremely safe but I feel like I'm constantly hearing about helicopter and small plane crashes.

I was wondering the same, if there is some kind of statistic which shows small aircraft crashes vs big one and how safe are they.

I'll be honest, even if I was really rich, I wouldn't do the private jet, helicopter or whatever.
