Season 1 was 12 male, 7 female, 1 nonbinary.
Season 2 was 15 male, 8 female, 1 nonbinary.
Season 3 was 17 male, 10 female, 1 nonbinary.
Season 4 was 18 male, 13 female, 1 nonbinary.
When Robo Ky launches, we'll be at 19 male, 14 female, 1 nonbinary.

So at no point was the ratio this bad.

You're skating uphill having any expectations for that in a fighting game, in general, especially one based on Marvel properties (that ostensibly has a cap on X-Men related characters).

This makes absolutely no sense. There are plenty of fighting games with even gender rations and a lot of female Marvel characters who aren't used.

Most of the actual good/well known Marvel female characters are X-characters, though.
