Yeah I know, but it actually didn't cost me that much outside the $2500 RTX 5090 which an insurance company paid for when some movers damaged my RTX 4090. The AMD CPU was next most expensive, and I got the RAM when RAM was cheap, probably under $200 for two 48GB sticks of ram. I lucked out so hard. My whole build without the GPU probably cost me about $1300 total which if you compare to a steam machine is just insane

Now my PC is easily worth $7k, more than my car, more than the equity in my home.

That isn't surprising in the least, we can pretend transphobia is right only problem, but especially when it comes to sports, many liberal and overall progressive people have taken the transphobic pill. It's what happens when lies are repeated over and over, an overall culture that segregates nearly everything into "boys stuff" and "girls stuff" and and overall complete lack of understanding of trans people so many have. This isn't new, you see this in discussions of sports dating back decades.



I'm really worried for 2028 and 2029 for the US and UK because I dread so much trans people are going to be treated as the acceptable sacrifice for most people to get Trump out of office and keep Reform out, it's hard not to feel depressed when I see trans issues get called "purity tests" and I don't trust most cis people not to consider us expendable and vote transphobic dems and the like to save their own skins.

Aside from the esoteric mumbo jumbo the big difference here seems to be that they claim to preserve individuality but I have no idea how you'd do that without creating conflicts that are bigger than just a thing that can be solved by throwing a "party" for the losers. imagine there's this one small town who constantly loses every conflict, they just seem totally unlucky, leading to everyone else feeling bad for them, but they keep their chin up and say "eh it's ok, due to the benefits of our wonderful society, we persevere"

but

it turns out that when a town loses one of these conflicts, it's customary for the victor to hang up these colorful streamers everywhere (just considered disposable trash), and there's a scientist in this town who has determined that the material used to make the streamers is a rarer-than-expected hyper valuable superconductor

and they're losing on purpose to accumulate this material and build technological wonders in a secret lab, hoping to one day reveal themselves and impose a new order upon the rest of the populace

What if they just keep losing cause they're lazy fucks who thrive on other people throwing "loser" parties for them constantly and don't have to do any work, ever?
