Or you think Warner/DC purposefully planed to be his last roles. Who are the affected communities?
And yet again it's an instance where looking it up, you find out that Wahlberg didn't get away with it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Wahlberg#Legal_issues wrote:In August 1986, civil action was filed against Wahlberg for violating the civil rights of his victims, and Wahlberg and his friends were issued a civil rights injunction which served as a warning that they would be jailed if they committed another hate crime.Exactly why they were whining in the Karmelo Anthony thread, that a 17 year old was having his life ruined. Now they're demanding lifetime penance from a 16 year old. And oh, look, restitution: Quote:Wahlberg established the Mark Wahlberg Youth Foundation in May 2001 for the purpose of raising and distributing funds to youth service and enrichment programs.[113] Wahlberg is active with The Good Shepherd Center for Homeless Women and Children.[114] Funniest part of his PCP-enhanced attack on the Vietnamese guy: Quote:Wahlberg believed he had left the second victim permanently blind in one eye, though Trinh later said that he had actually lost his eye during the Vietnam War while serving in the Army of the Republic of Vietnam. 5 users liked this post: Chumbawumbafan69, D3RANG3D, Taco Bell Tower, Propagandhim, HeavenIsAPlaceOnEarth

So I'm also left with a sense of, there are so many other people who haven't tried to murder ethnic minorities who don't make it like Wahlberg does. Like, you can't even answer my question on how he's been rehabilitated and/or what restitution he has given to the affected communities; fuck that, what's clearly more important to you is that the famous white multimillionaire be forgiven of his past deeds. "They don't see us a women in the same way we believe we're women." Yeah, no shit. The way you believe yourself to be a woman is a contradictory mess because apparently "owning the TERFs" is more important than offering up any sort of logical argument.
Most supporters take "trans women are women" to mean that men who identify as women just want to be treated they way any woman is treated, without having their transness constantly brought to attention. They don't treat you the same way they treat other women because that's not what you are - you are not a "woman", you are a "trans woman". I was raised with two sisters and had the same upbringing. That doesn't mean we had the same experiences. Even without the differences of sex, they are both extroverts whereas I'm an introvert. A 30 year old man can claim that he totally imagined himself to be the female character in a cartoon he watched as a kid, therefore he has always been a girl, but that won't change the reality that he was raised a boy and treated as a boy and thought of himself as a boy for those 30 years of life. 12 users liked this post: JoeBoy101, BananaBlast, normalindividual, Mask, Let's Cyber, Boredfrom, Taco Bell Tower, D3RANG3D, killamajig, MJBarret, Daffy Duck, HaughtyFrank

It always just ends up feeling like justifying objectification and an end all be all to criticism. The term on its own isn't meant to justify or absolve and has a negative connotation. It's just a plain statement about a design's purpose. If you mean in the sense that people will often use it to basically say don't bother diving into a criticism of something, I get what you mean. But I also think many of those conversations really can be fruitless to just tackle from the perspective of objectification. Partially because the most egregious stuff appeals to people who are never going to be swayed about arguments about objectification and sexism, and partially because the root of the problem is often not even the lifeless, generic, deeply sexless forms of sexualization you find in gooner bait games and material. The issue lies in the commodification of emotional attachment, it's the way these games exploit, isolate, and reinforce unhealthy and harmful behaviors and coping mechanisms, then extract a bunch enough money to trap players into sunken cost mindsets while making them believe they are in control.
