I try to use it and other gender neutral terms. Personally, I'm genderqueer and I'd be fine with basically any pronoun other than they for myself. I don't know why but I find it very distressing for myself.

Remember when all this nonsense wasn't a thing and being referred to as "they" wouldn't have been a problem?
