Forgive my ignorance on this, but I saw a lot of people slating Nintendo because they sued these guys over a gameplay mechanic.

Playing devil's advocate for a sec, is it possible that they actually wanted to sue for the blatantly obvious character design rip-offs (which would be totally valid imo) but, due to the way copyright law works, thought they might get a better result the other way?

Yes, this is almost certainly what happened, and it sucks out loud.

Using IP law in this way, as a cudgel to attack people for doing things you don't like but which are not illegal, is the absolute worst form of patent trolling.

Palworld clearly pissed some people off at TPC / Nintendo and they decided to use their legal weight to bully PocketPair. As much as I don't think any gameplay mechanics should be subject to patents, using the patent system to enact retribution for unrelated slights is even worse.

Maybe you should tough it up and deal with it? How do you reconcile liking Sailor Moon while having hyper sexualized teenagers? It sounds less like “I like pretty things uWu ” and more like “they have a pass because I saw as a kid”.

It's only something that you start questioning as you get older and understand the difference between "She's made this way to look pretty" as opposed to "She's made this way because men want and inherently like it". You can argue that there is a subset of women who believe that characters were made to look pretty to appeal to women's aesthetics with liking pretty things, and there are; I'm one of them. I prefer pretty things to look at, and at the same time, I also prefer pretty things to look at where the character in question is not purposely hanging her chest so low in your face that you can see the cleavage. It's very obvious when those things are done and who they were made for.

Managed to sell/trade my 77" LG G4 for a 77" LG C6 with only a couple hundred in price difference from the fbook marketplace sale and holy hell, this thing is BRIGHT. I was hoping to afford a G6 but I couldn't, which is apparently up to twice as overall bright as the C6 but the C6 is still brighter than my already fucking bright G4 so now with 165 Hz and not-so-shitty-sounding speakers and a fucking stand included (f you LG for only including a wall-mount for the G-series TVs lately and charging $100 separately for the stand from your store!), it worked out. Here's about as accurate of a pic as I could make/compare from my viewpoint of how it looks in a dimly-sunlit room at 2PM with blinds partially opened. Watching HDR content is like staring at an eclipse.

Well I installed reshade on each and found and adjusted the depth parameters for SuperDepth3D.fx using DisplayDepth.fx and AdjustDepth.

Next I stream/cast the game in SBS mode using Artemis/Vibepollo to my Odin3 or Thor.

Next I plug in my Viture XR glasses that support 3D. I turn on 3D SBS mode using the right arm button. The Viture glasses capture nearly perfect 3D depth of these modern games.

I plug my charger into the Viture charging adapter left side and my glasses into the right side and then the output into the AYN usb-c port

My PC and WiFi do all the work, my AYN device doesn't even use its fan or heat up, and I have virtual 3D in my glasses of modern games. Just plugged charging into a USB-C Anker charger. It's like mini-handheld powered VR 3D 😳

Been playing Shadows for about an hour now like this and every bowstring pull has been a headshot!

It is in effect a urinary leash designed to restrict the freedom of trans people within public spaces. ...

Many will refuse to self segregate and will continue to use the spaces we have been using so far. The risks involved are not minor though, particularly at a point where tall cis women, those with short hair, and so on, are being 'transvestigated' by others who suspect them of being trans. Opening the bathroom door carries the anxiety of being called out by either a woman in it, or someone seeing you enter or queue to enter. They may call for staff to get involved, harass you, or start recording you on their phone. In the latter case, there's a not-insignificant chance that said photo/video could end up on JK Rowling's twitter feed, who recently posted an upskirt shot of a trans women as part of harassing her. As it stands I know a number of trans people who feel the need to bring their passport with them when using the bathroom, in the thin hope a changed marker will temper any accusation that comes their way. All of this also heavily affects the less privileged in our community – those who can't access or afford healthcare or surgeries, those who can't pass, those only starting their transition.

I love how completely lacking in self-awareness they are just outright revealing the deliberate intent of their abuse of the law when they talk about this:

Like the person just won't be able to walk out of the bathroom when confronted to go to another one. As if there aren't countless interactions daily where someone is accosting someone in a bathroom or asking them to leave for entirely different reasons. No, social interactions don't happen until they involve me and I catastrophize about being the most important thing to everyone. (They literally can't stop fetishizing me and having bloodlust against me.) This is literally the end of public life itself: having to have interactions with other people.

And also "risk outing yourself" like dude, nobody you work with thinks you're a cis woman. And what even is the "risk" here? You all "out" yourself by plastering your trans flags and IKEA sharks everywhere and throwing constant shit fits about people talking about Harry Potter birthday parties for their kids. This isn't like being gay where that's something you don't do at all except in private, this is a PUBLIC PERFORMANCE RITUAL YOU DEMAND EVERYONE ELSE PARTICIPATE IN AT ALL TIMES.

It's all just naked (in the non-cum way) what they want and why they're angry. They want to use the state, to use violence, to force people to comply with their fantasies and usually their fetishes. And they are pissed as fuck that they can no longer with absolute ease use violence to force people, especially women, to comply with their wishes. It's literal patriarchy, men using the violence of the state to enforce their personal gender role desires. And they're raging because they're so unused to and unaccepting of being told no that it's existential that they have to convince others of having the state do this rather than simply force it on them without their consent. 

It's all non-consensual, backed with the threat, rhetoric and language of violence.
