Quote:The two accounts are from the same person. She is allegedly the same artist that the CEO "praised" in this interview before (see the The dev team turned down their future star artist when she first applied to the company section). I recall the Twitter account saying the same stuff before, stating that she never got a job as a character designer until Palworld which is inline with the interview. It's also why she became suicidal because she thought she was finally getting an actual job to make original monster designs until Mizobe told her to just plagiarize Pokemon instead. In fact, the same interview states that Mizobe originally rejected her because her designs were "too unique." Most of the tweets have been deleted (probably got some not so friendly PMs from Pocketpair).
This was never reported on. Honestly, we need someone like Jason Schreier on the case or have the court put them through discovery. Pocketpair and Mizobe have been shady as fuck since day one. It sickens me from a human rights perspective that gamers support them. They need to be investigated thoroughly instead of getting away scott-free

"they were correct in their moral framework" no it's not fucking moral to destroy other peoples' property and be general terrorists
in one case they wrote a threatening letter stating they were going to burn down a factory and just wanted to make sure nobody was inside it when they did, except this was the era when things burned out of control and before you knew it half the city was gone, incredibly irresponsible just to destroy a few machines
they were fucked up and lashing out and received death sentences for good reason, and once they were gone society was able to move forward and suddenly save millions of lives due to newfound abundance of simple things like cheap blankets
Just so you know, the correct moral framework and general assessment that 'socialist' nepenthe is advocating for is one where you do the job your dad did and if anyone tries anything else they burn your house down

When I needed help they have both charged above market rent for a room. So I didn't stay long.

You’re acting like it’s something of any importance such as arguing over how the chuds tanked the box office of a mediocre superhero movie or how bikini skins in a video game summer event is an affront to woman everywhere
My friends on Xiaohongshu/RedNote, that I met during a very chinese time in my life, told me this is not in fact racist. The monkey in the chinese zodiac is known for its clever, quick-witted, and highly versatile nature. The Chinese government is simply illustrating its bewilderment that the clever Filipinos are getting fooled by the western imperialists.
Is it true the Chinese replaced all women’s toilets with bouncy castles? I heard they did that

Nepenthe acknowledges that people do not take her seriously because she has not built any experience or accomplishments needed to get attention. She acknowledges nobody gives a shit if you don't have credibility in anything. And in proper Nepenthe narcissistic form, instead of addressing the problem in herself, it's the world's fault. Keep fucking that chicken, Nepnep.
Quote:And what should be unsurprising to folks here, is that this prestige also lines up nicely with systems of race and patriarchy; It is not a coincidence that a lot of non-white immigrant labor is in restaurant and service work, or that most domestic labor is done by women.
No, it's not a coincidence. Many immigrants take low-status service jobs not because society has assigned it to them because they're immigrants, but because those jobs provide an immediate foothold in a country so they can provide better opportunities for their children. Opportunities she's squandered with parents who didn't have to do that. Now she acts like non-white people are all low-status workers, when in reality many who take the opportunities their parents gave them seriously get out of that.

Competition, investment, and the prospect of profit have funded enormous scientific and technological advances. What have you done to accelerate research and innovation and spread useful discoveries? You can't even do the bare minimum to improve your tiny life, let alone the world. Where do you get off telling millions of people who are a million times better than you that they're foolish

I dunno why half of ERA are impressed of Nepenthe diatribes. She is not exactly insightful unless you never paid attention to social studies back in high school. She puts down any dissident opinion and hold grudges. Almost everything she repeats are platitudes.
Nepenthe wrote:The capitalistic propaganda of the STEM fields as apolitical, non-contextual forces of nature that we have no control or oversight over, as natural systems that merely usher in "progress" for "all of humanity" that dare not be questioned or critiqued, have led us into a situation where not only have we have allowed these tech companies unfettered access over our lives and our environment, but we have ironically hamstrung our ability to analyze and critique, aka to scientifically evaluate, the impact of technology on our lives, our relationships, and our very identities.
…
Retail and service work, fast food and restaurant work, factory work, agriculture, waste disposal, care and domestic work, the social sciences, teaching, etc., are all necessary work for the maintenance of a healthy society, but they are devalued compared to STEM not just through their relative lack of wage compensation, but by the social capital they failed to grant people in this work.
Bitch, go and search for work. I know your degree is useless but you at least have practical and theoretical knowledge to draw half decently. But deep down is not about that, isn’t? Is about you being a bitter fail daughter that refuses to search for any alternative, that prefers to be bossed around in a pharmacy than genuinely trying. Before AI you barely did anything and now you conform on screaming to people at a video game forum.

(5 hours ago)Propagandhim wrote: Quote:It all exists under the purview of capitalism, which is an anti-human ideology. Granting for the sake of ease that capitalism is an ideology, as much as "I should own my own labor" is ideological, it's probably the only pro-human ideology aside from liberalism. Unlike all other ideologies it doesn't posit a "proper" way for humans to be with that way being mandatory, it simply says pursue your own interests and others will see value in providing for them.
The critique of capitalism is a stupid one, that if you can't get anyone to provide for you you don't get what you want. It's a stupid critique because there's no alternative where everyone's individual wishes are provided for.
This should be such an obvious thing, but it's not as shown by Nepenthe and Era and so many socialists the world over who insist that scarcity is not real. That there is unlimited manna from heaven available for everything in all ways and the only need is for a God to distribute it properly. Even when they talk about "the market" they talk about it as a God with a deliberate purpose rather than an impersonal process that results from an infinite number of choices from billions.
Nepenthe wants a system in which she is endlessly praised no matter what she does and damn everyone else to the point of likely murdering billions by forcing "degrowth" aka poverty on them. A system where all of life, all of society, is constantly halted to determine if it's properly praising Nepenthe and if it's not it's time for a vast leveling of everyone else.
If this particular rant doesn't make clear you can easily look at her AI ones or her many other ones about this. She believes your wages, your income, your wealth is an objective measure of your moral value under capitalism and this is wrong. Her moral value is sky high yet she only makes slightly above minimum wage, how is this just? She refuses to simply separate the two to accept that the first is the material value you provide to others and everything else is irrelevant to it. She much prefers to not only believe capitalism is a constant critique of her personal moral value but she insists on a system where nobody can escape, that every aspect of their life is punished if they fail the moral value test of society.
This from a person who believes there's a mass conspiracy of white supremacy and yet celebrates Black people like LeBron or Beyonce or Rhianna becoming billionaires. The cognitive dissonance simply doesn't effect her to question either of her beliefs. Because she can't because it's really all about her personal status, there must be a white supremacy conspiracy to hold her down and it must be that capitalism that spreads these moral values at the cost of profit. What else could explain why Nepenthe does not rule the world?
You can tell reading those Palworld threads how many people haven't seen the foundational lecture about copyright and trademark infringement:

Here she is mistaking the usage of the results for the process itself:
