Gosh, I've always hated reading conventional books. Yet I'd still read strategy guides, instruction manuals, etc. back in the day. Or do wiki walks. Plus, one of my favorite games is Morrowind, and gosh knows how text heavy that game is. I really am out of the loop when it comes to reading conventional books, though. And modern society has certainly hurt my attention span.

This Ziegler guy saw the writing on the wall and wanted out. Absolutely no idea what Bungie were thinking hiring this dude (ex-Valorant game director), completely the wrong direction for this game. Changed the game from its original vision (PvEvP extraction shooter with persistent maps and deep character customisation) into a PvP sweatfest hero extraction shooter that plays like a battle royal and has zero appeal to the majority of folk that played Destiny or anyone else. It's been an absolute disaster given the development costs and he's probably going to go down as the guy that killed Bungie.

I don't remember the dipshit's name on GAF, but the launch trailer right before Breath of the Wild released showed Princess Zelda crying and falling into Link's arms, and they were whining that the scene perpetuated the trope that women are emotional and need the support of a man while in distress. Because crying equals weakness? And showing emotions is bad? 


I don't know where they come up with this stuff.

I'm still going through everyone's replies, I love all of you.

The Orgy was so much fun! When I arrived the hotel was laid out with two rooms, two bathrooms, and the corridor was between the rooms! No door, but the layout really helped make two distinct rooms and divided sound.

One room had two beds, the other had a couch and a few chairs. We combined the tables between rooms and did Cards Against Humanity, laid out everyone's toys, and spoke about sexual safety, no shared toy use, condom usage and so on.

Things naturally progressed and we split between beds to keep the "active" groups in pairs of 2-3, with swaps between. Someone brought knee pads and I was in awe, I so need to pack mine next time!

The room to rest and recuperate was perfect, I'm so glad I got all of your input. I never felt the need to bust out the Switch and visit Mr. Nook, but I did take a break for a few and called to let my NP know that I'm so bringing home leftover pizza and snacks.

I decided to come home once it got late and left plenty of water and condoms for everyone and did a little safety talk regarding my partner's diabetes as everyone is staying the night.

We really shouldn't even entertain ideas from these people at all. They gain power when we let them have it. This extends to studios as well. A studio like Disney shouldn't be reading online comments in order to determine why some of their films bombed. The MCU going woke didn't almost kill it buddy. Poor quality control was the issue. There's typically always other problems in play.

Easily the best show of its season (despite a lot of great series) and one of the best of 2026 already. Wonderful writing and character development and a lot of great food for thought.







I think we can actually bring this back to video games since the same blinders that make people praise Mushoku Tensei also influence what video game recommendations they give to people. Persona 5 is widely seen as one of the best video games of all time despite its rampant sexism and the awful ways in which it contradicts itself, people choose to be wilfully obtuse about Fortnite's swimsuits and even the roach king calling out SB2 isn't enough for people to ask themselves if maybe something might be off with the depiction of its lead.



A lot of people still think (or choose to think) that discussing sexism and misogyny is about nitpicking and not lighting up, when people speak up to bring awareness to these issues to remove the blinders people have in the first place.
