Had a good time clubbing. Cut it off with no show. Will elaborate later.
It’s honestly not easy to be in this position but it is what it is. I can back it up with pictures as well. My visitors pass for government buildings as well as my guy in the Porsche.
And on the dating side I can definitely use some help.
I got a new gig for you. The people at Zwarte Cross are looking for a new stuntman to be flung from their catapult after the first two stuntmen got injured.

Looking after a random drunk cunt at a gig.
He's got another support band before the headliner. My goal is to get him to the end before he face plants or gets booted by security
EDIT: He made it to the headliner but I saw him getting carried out after 4 songs. Vale drunk cunt at the Lagerstein gig.
Fun times at the barbecue with the people from the Nintendo site.
As for my options, they all have their pros and cons. The sales manager job at the AI business means stability, better pay and the opportunity to do what I enjoy. The corpo job means even more stability but it is unclear how much I would enjoy that. The government project is promising and I'm already working on it. We're prepping our offer for next friday. It's valuable experience in a new environment even if it falls through and I should know shortly which way this goes.
The 5th guy in the group wanted to talk on thursday. And I figured he wanted to tell me that he wouldn't allow me to join the group as he questioned my value before. Thus taking this off the board and making it easier. But instead he praised me and I had a great conversation. I told the black guy and he was shocked but also happy. He knows I want to combine this and he's working hard to prevent that.
As for the date last night. After the sassy shit tests her work thing came up and I didn't feel like going through the same song and dance of exchanging messages until she has time in her busy schedule as flower girl already occupies that space and I had no time to meet this weekend so we'd have to drag this along. So when the clock ran out I told her I was moving on and wished her good luck. She send me a thumbs up. Her "enjoy yourself drink one on me" message before that, while supportive also felt a bit forced compared to our flirty banter up until that point and turned me off.
Going out, road trip + barbecue and tommorow The Odyssey while prepping the sprint boards for the government project. Great weekend overall regardless. Was supposed to see the movie with a friend but he has to take his mother to a care hotel kind of thing so his father can take a trip to Switzerland. Sweet and all but I'm going on my own. If it's good I want to see it twice like all Nolan theatrical releases anyway.
my internet meanderings have led me to watch Cans Without Labels, John K.'s kickstarted 10 minute cartoon short that took $140,000 and 6 years to make
good lord what a shitty cartoon
don't watch this
it was really shit, wasn't it

honestly you're right, I also watched Man's Best Friend, the episode that got them banned, and I was like god this is so boring and uncreative
whatever story and dialogue is present happens really slowly and spaced out and the whole thing is just an excuse for very extreme facial expressions and exaggerated animation
which makes sense, john k was always focused on the animation side, but trippy melting faces aren't enough to justify the whole thing

Makes you appreciate how well beavis and butthead and king of the hill hold up
My corpo client just send me a vacancy to apply to after our meeting this morning.
It's basically a job to run their platforms in this region. Obviously I applied.
But so did a recruiter that wants to call me about a job tommorow.
Not sure how serious this guy is but the salary is ~150k to be the managing director of a AR/VR/mobile app company.
Spoiler: (click to show)(click to hide)
The corpo also pays well including a 10% bonus and 46 vacation days but it'll be less than 150k I assume.
Also made 2 deals today at my current job. I was motivated to do a 1 hour phone call to push this over the finish line because one of our employees was actually competing for one of these as a contractor. Yes I am competing for deals with our own fucking employees. He confused the client with technobabble and she almost went to a competitor instead. A former intern told her to call me instead.
"I took this job myself because she doesn't have any money"
"It didn't seem that interesting for our company"
"I thought you wouldn't be interested in it"
"I don't think we can do it for this price"

Did you find a portal back to 2014?
It sounds like an absolute mess. 6 locations each with their own culture, projects and clients that need to start working together.
The 40 engineers I would primarily manage mostly operate remotely.
But for 150k a year I'm going to take that call and see what happens could be my lucky break or opens the door to more of these empty seats.
You were right boss I'm not as good as I think they just put me in a random empty executive seat for 150k a year
Send a nice application to the corpo also though, that's probably more in the ~75k - 90k range but still serious money and a very good upgrade. I think that's more doable but we'll see. I like how this is developing. Opportunities keep piling up.

Yesterday I had to go to Shibuya (shithole) and it’s 36c so I go into a convenience store for a drink. Aisles are narrow so I turned sideways to let this Japanese office worker guy in his 50s pass. He stops and says “you’re annoying aren't you”. Instinctively respond with “yeah that’s probably right”. And I don’t think he anticipated that I understood him because he started profusely apologizing. Really weird. Sometimes I get homesick for America where I’d get stabbed or shot during such an interaction.

I don’t read Nintex’s “business genius” posts so I have no idea what you’re talking about
