I completely disagree with said poster. I am almost pre-ordering the game btw. So please don't misinterpret me...

But I feel people need to be way more careful before calling others racists. All said member said is they think Beast of Reincarnation looks generic like a lot of other "Asian games" (Eastern games if you will).

They are not denigrating the game nor are they saying all Asian games are generic and bad. They are saying that this specific one, for them, is generic like many others.

In a somewhat bad comparison, it's like looking at a game a saying "another bad Ubisoft open world game". Because games of the same style and/or same region will carry similar trends and aspects. The same way many people say "I don't like Western RPGs they are all bad". That person wouldn't be racist, that is a strong word that needs to keep it's meaning otherwise it get's banalized

Thank you all for the responses. I am so glad that I posted this. So much good advice and I really needed that sobering slap of reality. Big ups to those who spoke on reading about limerence. Even though I don't feel in love currently, I feel like my feelings were spiraling towards it rapidly, and a lot of my mental state lines up with the symptoms of limerence. It's an incredibly helpful thing to read about.

I also wanted to point out that I never intended to cheat, because rampant infidelity is what led to the near-dissolution of the marriage. I would never do that, and felt the need to point that out here. I have no idea where these feelings are coming from and it was driving me insane and want them to go away. Finding the source through counseling seems to be the next logical step.

I don't know how anyone can express excitement or any positive sentiment about this.

People seeking spiritual sustenance in the form of joyful escapism in these miserable times is understandable. Less so when it's provided by a company responsible for producing said misery, in an area where there are literally thousands of other options.

We're all motivated by the selfish pursuit of personal comfort on some level. The threshold for when a matter affects us to the point that it erodes the personal comfort we seek from something like games, are personal, but often appear inscrutable. Personally I can't comprehend how people are able to ignore calls for displays of solidarity against genocide. How does one manage to draw the line somewhere beyond genocide?

But even beyond that, people seem so fickle, forgetful and without conviction. Maybe it's just different people who show up to roast Microsoft in all the other recent threads about various industry calamities Microsoft is responsible for, but it's real strange to go from those threads to one like this in which most everyone seems to be all "Hell yeah Xbox! Great work! Love to see it!"

In the context of people willingly providing marketing momentum for a company complicit in genocide, it's grotesque.
