Most common recommendations would be Eisenhorn, or Ciaphas Cain if you want something a bit more light-hearted. Night Lords if you want horror. Space Marine stories tend to be a bit dry.

My purchases of tickets for 12 showings on opening week benefits the Right Side of History in the end. In an ideal world, Western nations would provide subsidies so that Disney would deny Disney products including Disney+ to Israel to cause the population to rise up and overthrow the Zionists. But we all know Israelis would need mass reeducation before they stop being subhuman and become actual people who take the right lessons from films such as Avengers: Doomsday (in theaters December 18, 2026) and Avengers: Secret Wars (in theaters December 17, 2027) which is basic human decency.

Folks constantly are talking about how Xbox does not provide enough incentive to use their platform (whether console or their app/store on PC), they need more exclusive content, etc. So I'm confused why that post is confusing.

It makes sense for them to leverage this & other exclusive content as a reason to use the Xbox app & a selling point for Game Pass on PC, specifically when their next console is presumably going to be a PC that may or may not allow you to access third-party stores out of the box (even if not officially supported, it very well may be possible to do so with tinkering).

I am confused why you are confused about the posting being confusing. Cause as long as that person who posted that isn't a Microsoft employee themselves, it doesn't make the any f'n sense to be a corporate shill and write it like that, about the Microsoft store of all places. "Hoping" it doesn't come to Steam, "hoping" more stuff becomes Microsoft store exclusive. Again, wtf?

I mean people do. I do where possible because of Play Anywhere plus finding the new Xbox Mode a lot more enjoyable to use than Steam's Big Picture Mode. I don't think anyone is under the illusion that Xbox Store will come anywhere near Steam's market share but competition is better for everybody and I'm glad they're investing in improving the Xbox PC experience.

Do they? Most of the time I rather still get myself a Steam key of something even tho it's on Game Pass. Not only because a lot of times the Microsoft Store version is simply being worse and there are either general problems like no fullscreen modes, worse performance, missing DLSS or their version being literal game versions behind the Steam release (I can't count how often this shit happened), but also for multiplayer, steam workshop, better mod support etc. Most of time I use them as a first test to see how it generally runs and then get it for steam.

Also, you can use Xbox Mode with Steam so what is that argument? 😅

At this point Conker Reloaded is a solid part of videogame history as the first example of a remake that's graphically much prettier but doesn't quite capture the spirit of the original.

And for what its worth obviously like most normal people I too have worked in shops, but when I was doing it I didn't pretend I was some kind of genius who was doing that kind of work out of penance for mankind. And also I didn't have rich parents or live in the home alone house.

I wonder if anyone on Era remembers Prima Games' very last published book, "Women in Gaming"? I purchased a copy of this book shortly after it was published in December of 2018 and read it and it was a really good book to read! Very informative. I think it's totally awesome that one of the ultimate goals of the book is to educate people that, yes, women have played a role in the founding the video game industry and have vital roles in the video game industry.
