Evercade seems to be pretty good as they have pay for better ports/emulators. Is a niche console that probably deserves more love and more retail exposure than Atgames/MyArcade.

Not a comment on this specific instance, but surely even a singular use of AI to create a thread or even a post should attract some sort of warning or ban? This is a discussion forum, if we're gunna start using AI-generated bullshit then the discussion becomes worthless.

It would be tough to enforce, eg how would you know if it was AI generated? You don't want people going on witch hunts against each other.



In this specific case it was likely AI generated with edits by the poster, with their own screenshots and narrative. IMHO we should assume good intentions with the poster as they were presumably just trying to get help with their writing.

So, this is the problem we keep coming up against: there aren't exactly perfect ways to tell if something is AI generated and as the technology gets better it becomes harder to tell. We obviously want people talking to each other and having real discussions, posters using AI to write their replies goes against that, but we also don't want to be constantly trying to adjudicate what posts are and are not AI. Nobody really signed up for that and it is, frankly, next to impossible.



The other point you make is also an important one: we really don't want people going on AI witch hunts against each other. That sort of behavior leads to nowhere good and will potentially just wind up resulting in nobody putting in any effort to have substantive discussions. This is bad for obvious reasons.



If someone is obviously using AI, like it's blatantly obvious, we are, of course, going to step in, since we don't want people using AI to write their posts for them as it's bad for discourse, but we also don't want people being overly suspicious of each other as that is also bad for discourse. Like all things, it's a balancing act on our part.
