The answer is 100% yes. I went through this on two movies. I have long pages of empirical data about it. The only thing is I don't think it's just Gen Z and Gen Alpha. I believe it's been a societal shift from taking nudity in adult situations and putting them on your phones at home for everybody. Now it's more of a private, intimate thing that people don't want to see when they're in a shared experience. Whenever people now see nudity or very adult situations in a big theater, they get uncomfortable.

The kind of thing that gives the social justice movement a bad name.

Gen Z and Gen Alpha are comically puritanical despite so many being sucked into the manosphere. At the end of the day, the movie has to make money or the director's career is on the line. If it were a bigger director, like the ones you mention, they would have been big enough to make the sex purge movie have all kinds of sex all over the place, but everyone else has careers to think of and a huge, avoidable flop, is a career ender.

And even with the director citing empirical data, the movie is bombing. So turns out focusing on business to make a crappy movie still didn't work out financially.

They'd atleast have the sense to grasp how royally fucked the premise is. This is worse than WW84's level of "oh you didn't spend a second thinking how gross this was, huh"

Part of the issue is nobody wants romcoms in general these days. It's all horror movies, unless you're Marvel or Chris Nolan.

I totally agree with the premise of the video but can't stand that long winded narrative and style of the channel. So many times it's like get to the point man. It needs to be condensed into 5 minutes to resonate with more people. Maybe it's just me but not a fan of the delivery.
