Had a date planned at 21:00 today. The same old "are you brave enough to show up teehee" messages yesterday.

At 8:30 she messages that she has to return a dog she is sitting that someone was supposed to pick up and yap yap yap so she can't make it.

I send back:
"Shame. but if you can't handle dog sitting logistics this won't work out"

"ok sorry..."

They were very positive overall.

I was well prepared, enthousiastic, had a great vision, creative, tech savvy etc. etc. etc.

BUT

I lacked enough exposure with complex environments for the future of the role as they had defined it last year and now some things have already shifted.

FUCK. But... Nintex was [this] close to be managing director of one of the biggest software houses in the country.
AI Datacenter is looking for a commercial director, applied for that too. The recruiter is also going to see what other vacancies he has based on the positive feedback I got.

This would've been a Trump 2016 like upset. My boss is both relieved and shocked, he can no longer pretend I overestimated myself and he knows this will only fuel my Blitzkrieg.

Now we wait and see what the corpo does.

At a lunch buffet. There’s a chubby girl who has grabbed, thus far, nine glasses of a dessert smoothie. They refilled the tray and she ran over to grab three in one go. I thought she was getting them for her mother and sister but she’s hounding them herself. As I typed this she just grabbed two more. It’s adorable. A lot of girls at school I knew like that developed eating disorders in their late teens. God speed.

First client has given my boss a vote of no confidence Trumps

If Nintex is leaving how can we wrap this up.

My boss was in the same meeting and the client completely agreed with my reasons to move on.

Despite myself I find myself wanting to counsel you away from your own madness but I still have absolutely no idea what fucked up arrangement you have at work, who your boss is, whether you even directly work for them or indeed if this thread or forum is real

Nintex is obviously fairly good at something at work but is he a developer, is he a sales guy, is he a kind of underrated batman for boring european tech projects? How middle class is he? All interesting questions

If you weren't half decent at something you'd be starving or on HRT by now so there must be something

Why are you monitoring what a chubby school girl is eating at the buffet and wishing an eating disorder on her you pervert?

I can comfortably say that thought never crossed my mind. Sometimes you guys need to put down the phones corrupting your minds. Learn to find amusement in everyday life and people. I suggest going to a lunch buffet and observing others who also decided “I’m going to stuff my fat face at 11:30 on a weekday”.

Observing it means you develop a taste for it.

I too am a victim.

The eclipse is today but I don't have the necessary glasses.
I had to work so I couldn't partake in the rush to buy them.

Do I do it the MAGA way or ignore this silly normie hype I can watch a video of.

Suggested a solution for big tech.

Taking over as managing director was a long shot and a bold move. However they’re also looking for a sr. Project Manager. Similar to my corporate work. And less politcally sensitive in the organization. Overall they didn't see any challenges with me leading the teams or my tech and commercial prowess.

Still a significant uplift (~100k a/year), better working conditions, bigger clients and an easy pay day for the recruiter. Plus I can build my experience for a promotion down the line. The CTO has strong backing on the PM side and can focus on growth while I focus on quality and client retention.

Lets see what the recruiter says.
