Yeah [USER=7409]JediMasterMatt[/USER] was right, I'm going to step in and say how I feel about both movies.



So throughout various threads I know I have mentioned I have gone through some turmoil through growing up, basically my whole childhood, basically until I turned 18 and was able to leave. By turmoil, I was in an abusive household with my family, until my aunt and uncle [USER=7409]JediMasterMatt[/USER] stepped in and pulled me out.



So when I was 14 one of my friends took me to see Frozen when it was out at one of our discount theaters near where we lived. The whole film resonated with me, especially with Elsa feeling like she was in a place she didn't belong. During this time period I would visit my aunt and uncle but I wouldn't say anything to them other than "yup", because I was so socially distant because of the lack of encouragement and support that my parents gave me, in fact I would argue that they really encourage me to not have my own voice. But my uncle, Matt, tried everything he could to start having conversations with me. He noticed that I had taking a particular liking to Frozen and asked me on one road trip what I liked about Frozen, and from there he hasn't been able to get me to shut up lol.



Then fast forward to Frozen 2. It had been a year since I left my family behind. The whole movie again resonated with me, maybe even much more so this time. Especially with Anna having to do the next right thing and the most difficult time of her life, when she's filled with so much grief, and Elsa trying to discover where she belongs. I thought it was better than the first in almost every way.



For those of you who don't enjoy one, or both, I'm sorry that it doesn't resonate with you like it does with me and others. For me personally, it was like Star Wars is to my uncle, the way that its lessons through film are emotionally satisfying and still applicable now.



Edit:  I love the costumes but tbh I think my all time favorite outfit from all the films at this point is Anna's coronation dress from 2.

I am currently dealing with harassment online and need some legal era help.



A YouTuber has taken my picture from social media and is using it to "diss" me. I have also evidence of him doxxing me.



I got YouTube to take it down but he's replied stating he took the picture in 1996 and some other things. The info he has supplied to them with his personal details are incorrect.



I have provided YouTube with a screenshot from my social media showing the full image and not the cropped thumbnail which he's using



The original picture showing it was taken in 2015 with the metadata.



YouTube has asked me to do the following



"You have 10 US business days to reply to this counter notification. Your response must include evidence that you've taken legal action against the uploader to keep the content from being reinstated to YouTube. Usually, evidence would include a lawsuit against the uploader, which names the YouTube URL(s) at issue and seeks a court order to restrain the alleged infringement."



I am in the UK which makes this more annoying so I need help with what to do and if legal era can help me. I don't have the money to pay for legal fees and I feel trapped.

Art that is generated like that has that melty look to it or it's tinted really brown for some reason.

The video shows the director taking an AI image of Lobo and then clicking buttons to change his appearance to show Momoa. Effectively, they're just taking jobs from artists for shit like this.

How else could one possibly imagine Jason Momoa as Lobo without this technology? Ones mind can't simply... imagine such things.

It's such a long shot that the only way any department on the film could wrap their brains around it was to consult the visionary mind of midjourney. The makeup department, for example, was probably relieved to have detailed guidance for such an intricate design.

AI image generation works on a formula, basically the mathematical large language model, then you plug in a model, which is a single file that is basically a huge amount of images all smashed together ('training data'), then a prompt which is words in a sentence to get a result. Normally the result is just one image, but you can change that to output as many images you want, like if you up it to 12, the output will be 12 very similar but slightly different images like you see there in the original post. That's how you can tell it was made with generative AI and not a concept artist.

Weird to have this in an officially released clip at all. Why put that out there?

Nah, it's the types of changes between each frame that's a dead giveaway. If this was done by an actual artist, things like those balls of light would be identical between frames. The artist is going to be reusing those layers between each piece of art, because the goal is to iterate on the character, not incidental background details. Changing those both distracts from the meaningful changes between iterations, and is the kind of excess work no human is going to do, because it would be so pointless it wouldn't even occur to them. Meanwhile, that is precisely the kind of thing AI does constantly, because by its very nature it's incapable of keeping that kind of thing consistent between iterations. Shy of garbled text, it is perhaps the single best possible indicator of AI use in this kind of context.

I don't feel bad about not having the time to go see this now. Shame for all the people who put in actual work to have to put up with these types on the crew.

Superman must've used it too, they were just careful about not disclosing it. It would explain why pretty much everything about it looks like what you'd get from prompting "make silver age superman but sorta modern and slap the Kingdom Come shield for no reason".

LLM upscaled images have that kind of melty look to them where the computer can't fill in the detail because the original resolution is too low. Repeating patterns are also common in generated images. I think the brown is from the training data containing tons of filtered images.

No human would ever think to change the background of an image? This is just kind of nonsense. Maybe they were asked to do so, because as you are pointing out here, the purpose of the images are mainly about the character and those lights are rather distracting.

No human would think to change the background like this in this particular and specific context, no. It's not something someone would do, because it wouldn't even come up in the workflow. 90% of the layer data would be kept identical between each iteration, stuff like the background layer would have been drawn once*, and only the layers pertaining to the changes to Lobo would be altered.

The results we have here imply someone redrew extremely similar but slightly different meaningless background information over and over and over again, which would be a genuinely insane thing to do for these kind of iterative work. But that's literally how AI works, it redraws everything from scratch each time, but the differences requested in each iteration will have a cascading effect within the algorithm that'll slightly change the surrounding details, due to the changes in statistical weights for each pixel drawn.

*(If it was even drawn at all, rather than just being a reference photo of the actor with details drawn over it, which is exactly how these images *look*, but aren't actually what they are, which is another weird AI tell.)

The hunting for ai in everything is growing really fucking tedious.

And yet as far as I can tell these images are generally consistent in their backgrounds, outside of one apparently with the lights removed, which I don't actually see in the OP.

We don't have anywhere near enough info to declare any of this is AI usage. It very well may be, sure, but none of this is anywhere near anything conclusive.

I'm so depressed about this show coming out in time for Harry Potter Kids to introduce it to their own kids. I had the weirdest relationship with those books. I grew up around the time they originally released and didn't notice they came out despite them getting heavily marketed in schools, then they blew up with the release of the movies and I still didn't read them. I absorbed some of the first movie by proxy because it was on our TV loop at the video store I worked at as my high school evening job, but felt no connection to it. Then I finally read the beginning of the first book while sitting in my mom's car for hours in the middle of the night while waiting for a midnight Wii release event. I made it like two chapters in and went 'this is dumb, I don't like the names' and stopped. Never went back.

It's probably because by the time the books were out, I was already a 10-year veteran of reading significantly more substantial fantasy series and was already writing fantasy stories of my own, so reading a series about a bunch of kids having goofy magic adventures at a school felt like a downgrade from Shannara or the Chronicles of Prydain. But I suppose that's what happens when you're a kid whose mom started reading you the Lord of the Rings every night as a serialized bedtime story when you were 4, lol.

This is going to be really specific, but I love horror movies. I like talking about them, I like writing horror stories. I've written entire horror film scripts.

I also do not have the constitution for the ultraviolence and gore that comes with the genre. Keep at it and change anything in your diet that is working against you. If you're "drinking your calories" you gotta step away from that (soda, sugary drinks, Starbucks, etc.) 5 - 6 pounds is a lot; I don't know how long you've been doing this to see that weight loss but the numbers add up if you keep it going.

Weight loss is 80-90% diet so make sure you're making changes there! Being more active and finding places to squeeze in exercise is great no matter your weight goals though!
