Matched with a local 31 y/o single mom on Bumble this week, dumb move in this state so we're having a date on tuesday night.
Dumb move also because monday is gym night and tuesday I have to take my father to the hospital for a CT scan.

Gym went well, better than expected after a week off actually.

Gym bro had a good vacation in France except the part where you have to deal with French people but eh.

The date is still on, the hospital visit has been moved to an earlier time slot so I won't have to worry about running late for the date.
However I was hoping my mother would do the smart thing and wait home but she insisted on going with us so I'll have to watch her and find elevators because she's scared of stairs and escalators these days. 

Anyway I'm glad I could use some of my anger and energy at the gym.

I dunno about the CT scan. The diagnosis was in 2021. The surgery in 2023 which ended in disaster and an internal bleeding. Only 5% of patients are still alive 5 years after diagnosis.
I asked my father if he has any hunch or feels one way or the other about this but he says he doesn't. However, I find that hard to believe given how nervous he is and his poor shape overall earlier this year.

The CT scan went well enough. Now we have to wait for the results. 

Let's see if the girl shows up. Good idea to take the day off I was already exhausted at 3 PM looking after the 2 pandas but managed to recover. 

We've chatted quite a bit over the last week so the plan is pretty simple. Go on the ferris wheel and if that works out take her home. It's a cloudy tuesday night no use to linger at the beach this time. 

Gym bro was like, bro you're worth ~150k make her work for it bro.  

Almost everyone at work is now "not feeling well" and 3 called in sick today because they know the easy times are soon numbered.
If the recruiter finds me a job the fee is usually 10% - 20% so this guy will try his best to net that 15k - 30k.

It started to rain heavily as soon as she arrived so they shut down the ferris wheel. After some debate of where to go we headed for shelter at a beach bar. 

I tasted a new beer I haven't tried yet and by coincidence I'm already automating her line of work with Mr. Rogers project. She was impressed because that was the stuff they outsourced because it was too difficult to do. She also made the step I'm considering, quit a job that was basically 4 jobs with few benefits and exchanged it for a cozy government job after a burn-out that lasted a year. Overall that was a useful insight I got from an hour of yapping.

I'll just wait and see if the yapping continues. She said we'd keep in touch.
