I love the driving in the GTA games. The shooting in V was definitely an improvement, but I'm hoping for VI to get me closer to that Max Payne 3 feeling.

The sandbox and emergent nature of a lot of games is always at odds with the moment to moment feel, but GTA has always managed to be real solid in letting the interactivity and tech evolve without playing too samey, iteration after iteration.

Fallout's shooting isn't as good as a Halo or Battlefield, but GTA's driving feels great to me. I also never know what's going to happen when I go for a joyride in GTA. It's crazy fun, especially during the first month honeymoon period.

I'm tempted to request a ban on Era when VI hits because I just don't want to deal with the impossible standards people have preconceived for it. I just want to dive in.

The issue with that tweet is that South Korea having greater sovereignty is good but doing so on bad terms with the US probably worse than maintaining the status quo in the short term. Only replying to what Hasan said, it's actually not a good thing that the US would reduce exercises with SK before both Korea's have entered a peace deal to end the war. It's also not good if SK is only trying to end the war because they're about to receive far less from the US because then they have less leverage and are more susceptible to NK aggression.

But the US empire collapsing is more important foreign policy to some. I need an explanation of how any of this from Trump is decent foreign policy from a SK perspective. I remember the first term when people tried glazing Trump for the apparent peace talks between N and S Korea and nothing happened. What's changed since then? "Oh they might be starting up again!"

I don't know what the broad sentiments are from the SK populace or political class on this issue but post Iran war America has demonstrated that it cannot be trusted or depended on for anything: economic stability, national security, you name it. Trump pulled out all the THAAD interceptors out of SK that America pressured SK into buying in the first place to bolster Israel's defenses. Trump deeply humiliated SK by deported like 170+ engineers who were in America to help build a domestic car manufacturing plant. Also don't forget that one of the first live-fire joint exercises under Trump ended up just straight up bombing SK civilians

This is actually pretty easy to explain, at least anecdotally. I went to vote on a college campus, and Fishback was literally the only candidate out there having solicitors telling prospective voters to vote for him.

They actually accosted me and I told them I already decided on my candidates (and then they tried again anyways, ugh). I didn't even realize at the time that Fishback was a Republican candidate lol. I bet if I told them I'm a registered Democrat they would've looked at me with disgust.

Anyways, my point is since they were the only ones advertising their candidate on campus, they would naturally have picked up low-information Republican college students (which is going to be a LOT of them since college-aged people are the least civically active) by virtue of being the most visible.

So, I don't believe this is indicative of a trend among younger voters so much as it demonstrates how influential just getting your name out there can be to people who don't really pay attention.

His entire campaign has been focused on younger voters though — I don't think it's just getting his name out there. I think it's more of a signal of what younger Republican primary voters are doing. Granted not a lot of them (hence his low overall %), but I think it's more than just being a gadfly and getting a few people who didn't know who they were voting for.
