Ms Marvel portrayed the struggles of an immigrant family, Shang-Chi did so as well, and had something meaningful to say about balance, yin and yang, self acceptance. No Way Home was all about making difficult choices and self sacrifice.

Man of Steel tackles the struggle of an adopted son with multiple father figures into crafting a singular unique individual, the fear of the unknown contrasted with the possibilities, the challenges of a survivor and the demands of the last of his people, the impact of superhuman warfare, and the trust of an immigrant towards his adopted state. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice explores a man whose refusal to accept his PTSD has driven him to hate and violence with a complete abandonment of his morals, the dangers of an inflexible certainty, the continued struggle of that adopted son and people's demands on him along with the duty to act correctly, the fight of a woman reporter to be taken seriously, another woman's gross disappointment in society after a single disappointment and her turn to selfish withdrawal, an abused son's struggles with right and wrong through religion and power, the continuing fallout from unchecked superhuman conflict and the questions of humanity in a world of gods. Zack Snyder's Justice League portrays the rediscovery of faith in others, meaning through found family for outcasts who have suffered great loss, meaning through struggle for something greater than the self's dwelling on imperfection towards stumbling at achieving ideals, a renewed hope in possibilities beyond a sacrificial fatalism, the questions of superhumans in a world of actual gods and moving beyond trauma by recognizing you're not alone.
