What a shit summer
- broken tooth that needed fixing
- no ~150k "dream" job
- ct scan (and overall lots of care taking of my parents)
- no vacay pending career moves
- as pressure mounts people at work get more retarded
- retard scratched my car
- the flu

Here is hoping opportunities will present themselves soon.

At least you’re regularly getting laid

That's it? After making us feel inadequate for months while chronicling your life as some playboy highroller tech-bro executive?

That was the ~150k path that nearly worked out and is currently my "market value". I'll probably land somewhere in the ~100k corpo range soon enough after the summer vacation and the HR departments and recruiters are back.

In fact, a software company with ~60 FTE has shown interest to hire me for commercial development and strategy. They've been looking for 6 months. Smaller than the ~250 FTE company but still a significant uplift in income (~100k range) and a better job.

Still landing that ~150k job with just 1 interview and doing the work 100% remote from the beach club and traveling around the country like donnie would've literally been the ultimate 2016 election type victory lap. The company is a mess but it has venture capital. That would've also been a great starting point to set me up to be the CEO next and politics after.

I accidentally grew a beard because I couldn’t be bothered shaving. The thing I’ve noticed is customers seem very comforted when I turn up to a job. I think they see the beard and flannel shirt and think, oh yeah that’s a proper workie. He knows what he’s about. I wonder what the white collar equivalent is. Wide awake suits, sensible hair.

Thought I chose a healthy dish option. A fish hot pot soup. Afterwards the waitresses is telling me it’s what sumo wrestlers eat to get fatter.

This German lady asked me to take her photo and, sure, but she kept asking for more the initially two or three. And she wasn’t nice about it or even bitchy in a way that I’m usually into. It was like “Okay we take photo from here now yes?” After five minutes she says, “It is Japanese omotenashi practice”. Is this just how Germans are.

Not as heavy as managing director but a good match for my skillset. They work for the same corpo as I do, so I'm a good fit for their client base.
New business development for AI, which is not a very demanding job either and this job can be mostly done remotely as well.

It's a surprisingly good fit so if it pays well this could be an interesting opportunity. Especially because I would be their ambassador for AI as well and keep my public profile.
It also has a Microsoft VP of Bullshit enough title and their office is next to the arcade I visited with my bro.

Unless they think I'm "overqualified" I suspect they'll be curious enough to do an interview.

And they are. Got an invite for the 1st job interview next week.

Was discussing something with a colleague at work, as an example of something my colleague proposed a school of philosophy run by cats. I blurted out meow platonism and she didn't get it and I had to explain and send a link to the neoplatonism wiki and it really didn't go how it should have done imo
