In addition Square Enix is very mad at Sony for this decision. They mostly make their money selling expensive day 1 editions to fans along with merchandise. As well as people buying those as gifts. We'll probably see more publishers turn to Switch 2 as a result. 

Nintendo is planning a collectors edition for Zelda, Metroid and other games as well as themed controllers. 
They might finally stop holding back announcements and releases which is why random things like the Mario Kart 8 update and Xenoblade upgrades are dropping.
