Like what is this background supposed to be conveying at all? It doesn't say "these are my interests" to me because there's so little of everything. It's telling me "here are some superficial but ultimately irrelevant things you should pretend are my devoted personality since I don't actually have one."

And yes, this matters, because I'm usually so dulled into boredom by the lowbrow content that I start examining their rooms in detail. Really, any post of any online "intellectual" where they show their "workstation" triggers this reflex. Asmongold's living in actual trash has a respectful honesty to it. There's a trans Twitter influencer, now on Bluesky, who used to post proud pictures of their desk and bookshelf and I loved it because you could see the additional dust with each update. They had "plushies" that were incredibly caked in dust. And they didn't see it, at all, they would just post "look at Yoshi!" and his green has faded from how much dust is on him. Just incredible content.

I went to that channel to see how long that woke 1 video is (only 16 minutes!) and here's a video from a couple years ago of "Mildred" when she turned 39:

Should actually cause him dysphoria considering that female youtubers tend to be better at this. Like, Jenny Nicholson redecorates her room for every video.

Dust accumulating on consumer goods is a product of capitalism, it didn't exist in Indigenous societies. By dialectics we can see that capitalism, by creating dust, also creates another commodity for capitalists to sell and workers to be exploited by working to create: dust cloths. By abolishing capitalism and ceasing growth we can remake society without dust in the first place. And more importantly we can eliminate the hierarchical status by those privileged enough (largely white and cis) to remove dust from their environs.

A more interesting conversation can be had when people actually start thinking in a dialectical manner as to the material and historical reasons for why these incidents occur, and then laying out steps to fix it instead of going "shooting people bad." Thanks for the insightful deduction. What do you propose we do about it?

What would be the basis for believing this? ???

Or this? Does she think Raytheon sells their products to consumers? You literally cannot buy what the military uses except on the second-hand market and it typically requires special licenses to own. You can't even buy legal "machine guns" from your local gun store because there's barely anyone who will jump through the federal hoops for you.

In Nepenthe's world the people just need to arm up and prevent Sony from ending physical games or kill a few hundred billionaires to end all the world's problems but it's not in the political classes interest to prevent this by restricting guns to only the political class. The masses clamor for this, but the political class wisely knows better, that an overly armed (to excessive levels) populace is in its interests and so prevents it.

I've always seen love and relationships more as a sliding scale than something with defined "levels". To me, the only meaningful differences between friends, fwbs, lovers, and partners are the list of available "activities", the degree of entanglement/enmeshment in eachothers lives, and "vibes".

Lately though, I've been reflecting on some previous relationships I've had and lost, and I've realized a pattern that's really bumming me out. Over the years, I've had a lot of relationships that could best be described as "friends with benefits, emphasis on the friends part", with varying degrees of affectionate vibes... But almost all of them have vanished from my life at some sudden point, and I *just* realized that the "sudden point" in every one of those cases was that they each got a boyfriend (either monogamous or OPP).

I guess the thing that is fucking me up, is that I always saw these relationships as like 95% friendship, 5% sexual. From my POV, taking sex off the table is just one less activity that we can do together, and it's something that wasn't all that essential to the relationship to begin with... Or so I thought?

In a few of these cases, my friends even *introduced me* to their boyfriends - And we got along great! Hung out, chatted, joked around, all that stuff... Then out of the blue it's all "my boyfriend doesn't want us hanging out anymore :(" and that's that.

I don't know where I'm going with this, I don't really have a point... It just sucks. It sucks losing people you care about because their SO is insecure about the fact that you fucked a few times before they ever even met. It sucks when people you spent years building a friendship with just toss you aside to mollify the insecurities of someone they just met. And it sucks realizing that despite *anything else* about your relationship with that person, the bonds built, the time you shared... the final defining feature that sums it all up and puts the nail in the coffin of that relationship is just "you two used to fuck sometimes". That's it.

Hey guy's check me out. I'm a thought leader and a writer. Look at this complete sentence I just wrote:

"Regardless, on the subject of laws."

Isn't it amazing? Have you ever seen such a good sentence? It's totally dialectical!

Did you know?: Engels originally wanted to call dialectical materialism "narcissistic delusion," but Marx talked him out of it. 🤓

They unironically give someone who has made nine videos in the last year (six last year, three this year) of nearly four and a half hours in length nearly $44,000 a year* for it:
