Game looks fine from that trailer and it could've been a small hit a few years back, but nowadays friendslop (or whatevere the genre is called) is the new meta. Even Fortnite is struggling recently.

I need to understand after the months and years of people clowning on the game without having seen anything, what it is that is especially bad about what the trailer here shows. Looks like something that has come together fairly well after a long, long time in development. It might not end up being successful because it's a very tough and crowded market, but it looks like they've made something good here.

It looks okay. If the gameplay is fun it could find an audience. Don't think social media and the general discourse around the game will do it any favours though.

I thought Concord was actually half decent but the narrative surrounding that game really killed any chance of it gaining momentum. The PR for this game is going to have to be elite for this to have any chance.

I wish the studio the best and hope their game is succesfull even if I`m not really playing online titles. Really hate the negativity about a project that we haven`t even played ourselves and before today we haven`t even seen in-game footage. I can`t imagine how exhausting it must be for devs to look at internet discourse about their projects.

This is exactly it. I know one guy who's always like "but what if a guy like Rock was trans? He'd just win everything and it wouldn't be fair!" and even though I know better and it's an absurd question, it's hard to argue in a succinct way that easily crushes it. And I hate that. This is news to me. Very disappointing, and saddening honestly. His wordplay with "when it endangers" makes me figure that's how he squares centrist vote targeting with his own morality. "When it endangers" could be effectively never but weathervane for a trans ban whenever convenient. It's still transphobic signaling all the same.
