That causality is backwards. Why would Democrats abandon trans rights if public opinion hadn't been waning?

But they have to pretend that it's all the Dems fault because trying to understand why public support has been dropping might make them face some hard questions

(Also they say trans rights but it's once again just about sports, an issue with very legitimate arguments that biological men have advantages)

When you have the best, most virtuous set of opinions on every topics, the only explanations as to why someone could disagree with you are:
a)They're evil
b)They're dumb
c)They lack agency
d)They've not been educated/re-educated properly

The Dem voters are supposed to be the good and intelligent ones, so they must lack the proper education on the topic.

What the fuck? It's not simply about "dislike". People deserve to have a fuller picture of who they're supporting, especially since it involves donations. I'm not telling anyone to not donate or support Gene, people are free to do what they want. But I myself would want to know who I'm supporting if there's money involved.

I don't think it's wrong to point out the kind of person Gene has shown himself to be, supports, and defends. Not simply "associates with", but has actively defended even here on Era.

If that doesn't bother you, it's no problem. But if I didn't know, I would want to be informed before I make a decision whether to help support someone or not.

I wish him the best. No one deserves cancer. But people are allowed to be informed on who they are donating to. If me simply informing people is somehow against the rules, I'd apologize and I'd delete my post, for any "good" that would do. It is increasingly disheartening to see accessibility being twisted into insinuations the player is "stupid" or "lazy," to the point where it doesn't feel worth it to engage in discussions that seem to be in bad faith or misguided. Is there something that I and others can do to help these discussions be less hostile towards those of us with disabilities? Can we make suggestions or just report posts as they come?

I think the best way to do it is to try and have the discussion you want to see and engage with the users who seem like they're actually there to have that discussion.



Like, I get it because I used to work with people who had disabilities and a big part of my job was adding accessibility features to stuff like books and activities and whatnot so that the people in question would be able to actually do the activity.

I really believe they messed with the voting in certain parts of the country in 2024. I think they would be crazy to try it again during the midterms. Seems like it would be really obvious after these polls and approval ratings. Not that it would stop them but still.

There are literally dozens of studies on 2024 showing that the high quality polls were remarkably accurate in the immediate run up to the election and the results were within error margins. Where did this "2-3% chance" come from, and by which you're implying that Kamala had a 97-98% chance of winning?
