Just finished reading Joanne’s latest book and, to my utter lack of surprise, there was no truth whatsoever to the insinuation that the cult was an allegory of the trans community.  Definitely a case of “a hit dog hollers” though.

After long reflection I've decided that I can no longer support ZeoVGM's early release from his 3 month ban due to his blatant anti-semitic attacks against Adam Sessler.

I'm crying as I write this. I believed in ZeoVGM and his great insight when it comes to pop culture and cinema but now I'm questioning that. Maybe She-Hulk really wasn't as great as ZeoVGM and I thought... not when it creates such bigotry from its fans!

I read the one they were losing their shit over a couple of years ago about a serial killer who dressed as a woman. That character was (a) based on a real serial killer who did indeed dress as a woman, and (b) wasn’t the killer.

Yep in the book a neighbor at the scene of the murder mentions seeing a woman in a hijab the detectives question if it’s a true sighting or just a case of Islamophobia and Strike mentions it could be a man disguising himself using a hijab.  I can kinda of see how out of context that could be construed as a slight against trans people but only if you take it out of context and are already looking for things to be pissed off at.

There's a few Marvel stans on here who simply cannot accept criticism or failure of the brand, I think they will go on a rampage in attempts to deflect the criticism or underperformance. I can imagine the failure of the movie being blamed on "THE CHUDS" or some shit, rather than simply the gross mismanagement and bad decision making Disney and Marvel have been plagued with for almost five years now finally starting to catch up to them.

Pretty sure the serial killer in the book isn't actually trans he just poses as a woman as a disguise and to lull them into a false sense of security, the same way Buffalo Bill (and Ted Bundy) pretended to have broken arms.

And in Williams and Brudos' case they weren't actually trans they were just freaks who dressed as women because it gave them a sick sexual gratification to do so.

At this point the discourse cannot be avoided, It is what it is. Marvel needs to determine what went so wrong with this film and ensure that it never happens again.

Hopefully that solution is not "No more women of color leading and directing a film".
