Look I'm not saying some aholes out there on Twitter or Reddit shitting on the MC cause of who she is but on Era of all places? Cmon. It's just Era doesn't really like this game much. It's ok. You can enjoy the game just stop with all these reasons why it's not being highly being spoken about the way you want.

I love the MC design but that God awful VA or I should say dialog kills it for me. (Aside some of the bare environments we've seen)

Edit: looking at the overall score, 70% would be a solid game in my eyes and def would play if it lands on PS+ or buy at a discount in about 1 year. But it would be heavily based on my backlog.

Seeing a lot of the discourse around BioWare really makes me feel for my friends at the studio, and makes me glad that the ones who are not there anymore are doing better now. Man am I ever glad I didn't stick in the video game industry, because fuck me I could not, not internalise so much of the unfounded, uninformed, and unkind shit that get's chucked at certain (really, all) developers.


There are a lot of concerns to be had around BioWare, it's upcoming projects, and it's treatment of terminated employees (of which they're getting taken to court for) but so much of the discourse every time they're in the news seems to break down into seemingly gleeful expectations of failure and subsequent execution.

The last Bioware game most people agree as being good released in 2010, in the interim we've had:

Dragon Age 2 - Fucking awful
Mass Effect 3 - Mediocre
Dragon Age Inquisition - Garbage
Mass Effect Andromeda - Crap with good gameplay when modded
Anthem -
