Oh man, how am I going to break it to Vietnamese guy at my local pizza shop that what he is doing is cultural appropriation.

I look at a ban reason like this

and I think of the best faith possible interpretation

like on a different forum, you could see this as "c'mon man, don't treat this subject jokingly, it would be fine to bring up this subject in a genuine way, asking whether a vietnamese person making italian food is also appropriation, we try to have a high standard of discussion without being too sarcastic"

but you know on era, bringing it up even genuinely will get you banned for being dismissive, or trolling, because they live in constant fear of chuds pretending to be genuine and "just asking questions"

like can you step back for a second and actually look at what this ban is supposed to accomplish to raise the level of discourse

you can learn why you're doing what you do by examining under what circumstances you WOULDN'T have banned a take like this

I really want to know how this keeps happening. It's perfectly normal that someone would sign up for a forum and then realize that they don't actually like it but why would you go through the trouble of writing a mod and asking for you account to be wiped?
