Forgot to share, but they are still soying out over the cybertruck being very well received lol.

I've always liked the brutalist, post apocalyptic design. I like that it looks like nothing else on the road. After the delivery event, the final specs and price are not what was originally promised, which is disappointing, but it compares favorably in terms of capabilities and price to its EV truck competition. I think it looks great in matte black, and even better in geometric camo.

That said, the level of vitriol and hate for this thing is over the top. I'm certain it would be vandalized and be the target of road rage and harassment, so there's no way I'd buy one.

I will happily scratch every Cybertruck i'll see ❤️

It's kind of bugged me for a while how relatively under the radar South Park is about being criticized for transphobia compared to JK Rowling, Cyberpunk, Dave Chappelle, and some of the other highly spotlighted sources of influential transphobia. I think they're genuinely just as bad, maybe worse in some ways. Who knows how much damage they've done influencing a generation of younger people. I'm not quite sure why they get a pass.

the biggest change is how dysphoria has completely disappeared from the conversation

it used to be constantly said that when a trans person is misgendered, they experience overwhelming dysphoria and panic attacks that dwarf 'nam flashbacks, it's devastating to be reminded that you aren't really a woman

this even included being known as "trans," which is where "trans women are women" comes from, to be reminded that you are trans is to be reminded that you're a special exception and will never fully experience the real thing

this is why earlier examples of video games with trans people (Baldur's Gate Siege of Dragonspear, Mass Effect Andromeda) were met with outrage from the trans community, because in order to have a trans character in a game they have to come out to the player, but the idea of being "out" as trans instead of simply being seen as the gender they want to be is harmful, and no trans person would out themselves after a couple of random conversations with a protagonist

now, though? being trans is the whole point! being able to say you're trans is what elevates your status and gets you special protection and exemptions, there's prestige, so now for some reason it doesn't bring up hurtful reminders of what you really are

I don't doubt trans folks feel more comfortable after coming out. The problem is, our sample set is Ree, so it's tainted and cant be controlled in any way.

You know what real trans folks are doing? Living their life outside. They take their lumps like cis folks who are ugly or whatever and keep on keeping on. Many pass as what they want. All the while, Ree trans keep throwing tantrums because they don't get the Yass Queen treatment even though they all look like Boogie.

Eta- ultimately, like what was said earlier but I'm too drunk to copypaste from a phone, but my friends who came out in the 90s and 00s have suffered and had way more risk then these Tumblr trans ever did. They were risking major alienation for a feeling, amd nowadays you have dudes asking to be addressed as Ms and it's a war crime if the recipient is confused.

The T in LGBT is testosterone and I don't forgive these fools for minimizing the suffering gay folks have had to deal with just to slide in and claim to be first in line in suffering now that the work has been done.
