Curious but after reading the current leaks, anyone here actually hyped and happy about what we're hearing about the game?

Yes, even more hyped then before. I don`t care about all this representation shit, the Benedikta plot is fire, I like such plot twists.

Kind of curious because I really enjoyed the story parts of the demo but I will lying if I didn’t have some doubts about where was going story wise (I still think media criticism from a feminist perspective is valid, just not going in by the likes of Anita and other grifters). But knowing RE and Twitter, they could be triggered by almost anything.

Sorry if this doesn't really fit the topic, but is there any kind of database of authors/artists/creators/etc. that have bought into TERF bullshit? I'd really like to clean as much problematic media out of my life as possible at this point.

also, ppl have definitely been actioned for stuff that was posted and then edited quickly enough to avoid the label.

then again, when the cunt ban was announced, kyuuji went to the UK thread and said cunt like 12 times in one post, saying "just saying this before i can't," came back to the constructive thread and talked about it jokingly like ha ha hope mods don't see, in case you're wondering if she's worried about actually getting banned.

not just for FFXVI but in general media there are a lot of story elements that can sound horrible in a vacuum (by era's standards anyway) but in context of the media are thematically appropriate, thought-provoking and emotionally resonant

like pick any of your favorite stories ever and see how often you could say "oh sure, the only ethnic minority is the one who dies" or "ugh, the woman who was always so independent ends up with the guy"

Yep, I really hated how The Last of Us II sounded from the 4chan leaks, I put off playing it for so long. But when I finally cooled off and played it a year later, loved that game, one of the few games I would call Perfect. But out of context, it sounded dreadful. Just how it is, and why I never take those OOC leaks/posts at face value.

Same with The Flash, if I hadn't seen it already I would think it sounds insane, but watching it, that was a very good cape film.

You're correct. Era is using Xenforo forum software and that has a default 5-minute silent edit window for any posts. Quite handy for quick edits when you realise you've misspelt something.

Spoiler a bunch of Japanese videogame developers watched Game of Thrones without any awareness of the 'War of the Roses' or the books it was based on and turned it into a videogame because they thought that's what the western audiences like now and it turns out it's just like their animes and hentais.

It's similar to Itoi using "America" as a backdrop for Earthbound without fully understanding it or the "Spanish" village in Resident Evil 4.

I think it was him mouthing off to Nep that finally got him a perma ban and not the, you know, sympathetic support he showed to ISIS and other Islamic extremism over the years. Funny enough, he had an alt ready to go that got caught and banned, too. Which goes to show you that he knew he was on thin ice. Also makes you wonder how many of these prominent members have alts as well.
