Couldn’t have happened to a better group of people. They’re only upset cause they aren’t the golden child anymore. They were the original posters who were hostile assholes to anyone who wasn’t 100% aligned  with their beliefs, and now that a new group of folks is doing it…

What’s extra funny to me about nepenthe soying out over Pal World and AI “stolen” art in general is that this is actually the world she wants. If there’s one thing I’ve noticed about idiots like Nep it’s how much they hate it when they get the smallest taste of their Utopian ideals. My gay and bi men friends would talk endlessly about how hot Scorpion and Sub-Zero were in MK11 yet nothing from MK1 and just from my circle no talk, no story discussion just no interest at all with the exception when they charged $20 for a Fatality which isn't great.

As someone who had almost zero interest in this game, mostly cause I knew nothing about it, that trailer might've just sold me on preordering this. Is there anything I need to know about this game or more so, is there a reason why everyone on here is so excited for this? I just wanna ask to know what I'm getting myself into before preordering it

You're getting yourself into a 16 bit mascot platformer that you can finish in 4 to 5 hours. There is literally no 'secret' to this game because it was released over 30 years ago. 

They are 2 really awesome 16-bit platformers

Rocket Knight Adventures is legit one of the best games ever released on Mega Drive / Genesis.

It's one of my favourite platformers ever and holds up as an all timer. Enjoy!

This is absolutely fantastic and one of my most anticipated loved Sparkster and RA adventures as a kid love the updates with boost mode for sparkster to cure the slowdowns.

I remember learning about the existence of Sparkster generations after Genesis and SNES, and having my mind blown over how great it looked, having only had exposure to Rocket Knight on Genesis as a kid. Then having my mind blown a second time at how expensive copies of it were on ebay, even back then before the retro crazy when prices hiked across the board. I think I'll be grabbing the basic Switch copy at some point in the next couple weeks, it's such a great 16-bit franchise featuring one of the genuinely coolest game mascots of the time.

It's pretty cool that they're releasing old Genesis/MegaDrive games but honestly it's just one of many good mascot action platformers with a neat gimmick from that time that didn't catch on. It wasn't the coolest, greatest, most fantastic back then and it certainly won't be now.
