Until he's ranting and raving like a Kevin Sorbo or something, I don't think that means anything, nor should it. Also, people SHOULD follow people they don't agree with - you should know your enemy, for example.

As for the church stuff, I'm waiting for HIM to actually get in hot water or something actionable - guilty by association doesn't get it done for me, personally.

I don't think I'll understand the need for this 'fuck cancer no matter what' stuff whenever someone terrible gets cancer. Everyone knows cancer sucks to get. My grandmother went through a lengthy pancreatic cancer throughout 2021 and 2022, much longer than most people who have it end up living after diagnosis and the last few months of her life were terrible and it was a miserable time in my life to watch her suffer. She didn't deserve to go out that way even if she wasn't a particularly good person and I hope it doesn't happen to decent people, but I'm fine with it happening to shitty people who have spent their life creating hell and suffering.

Like I'm not going to say fuck cancer if Donald Trump gets cancer. I'll revel in, I'll enjoy it, just like I did when he got Covid and knew if only for a few moments he was scared as hell knowing that he could die.

Whether you think the Royal Family fits that mold is up to you, I guess and I don't know enough about Charles specifically to say one way or another, but it's such a weird thing to me to have to go through when you see these stories like this.

Ultimately I think those that look up to SNL as a neoliberal institution of morality are pretty naive in the first place and no one should really be surprised by the fact that Shane is hosting or that Lorne was interested in him in the first place. Many people there are friends or at least supportive of this dude, including Bowen Yang who had a cordial relationship with him up until they were both cast on the show and still follows him on all social media channels.
