No, but as a sincere question what do you think when you read the comments about someone like Vavra?

It's not unnique to K:CD, but there's a pattern of people making threads lauding over games made by problematic creators, and despite multiple posts highlighting those links people just ignore them and go on about their business fawning over the game.

I don;t mean this as a criticism, but as a genuine question: do you not care about the comments?

People do not engage with these comments because engaging with these comments in any other way than unqualified agreement is likely to result in a heated-but-unproductive argument followed by a ban. Accordingly, every thread regarding a "problematic" gaming subject is effectively two parallel threads: one in which posters discus the "non-problematic" aspects of the game, and another in which posters discuss only the problematic aspects. These sides generally do not interact with each other, because, again, the pointless fights and the bans.

This arrangement, though it looks peculiar from the outside, results in each side basically getting to say the things they want to say and minimizes drama (and mass bans). Changing this equilibrium would likely require a major change in moderation policy.

To me it seems more tongue in cheek, and while he seems dissapointed in how it panned out I don't see the animosity ResetEra reads in it

It was a different time and making televsion shows for the BBC (which is what Monty Python was) just didn't make a whole lot of money.

That he doesn't like Netflix makes sense, it straight up killed Blu-Ray/DVD/TV rights sales for this kind of content and Netflix probably didn't offer a lot for the rights.

To me looking into the history of the group it always seemed like Monty Python died when Graham Chapman did. I'm sure that had he lived longer they would've done another movie in the 90s and while they did make a TV reunion thing of sorts it didn't take long for Terry Jones to pass away after that.

It also doesn't help that most of their TV content was based on current events and while some things are still relevant today, a lot of the jokes are hard to understand without the historical or cultural context. There is also the competition or rather lack of competition. Back then you had comedy on the BBC and that was it, other European channels would buy it, add subtitles or dubs and air it for as long as possible. Kind of like how to this day they are still airing shows like the A-Team and Knight Rider simply because they have the rights.

Other than slaves, there were almost no POC in middle ages Europe, and even then the slaves were usually captured POWs and of Euro descent.

Closest thing would be any "Saracens" at the time entering Europe, but they would be few and far between as well.

I remember getting my first apartment post college, a roomy one bedroom. Rent was 800 bucks. I made 40k. Not the best neighborhood, but not unsafe either.

Never had roommates post college. Thankfully lol. Although I did have them of in college. I had no issues with roommates. I had work peers that had them. I just hated the uncertainty of people moving, getting new ones, so I traded down in neighborhood to be able to live alone.

I know some cultures adult children don't move out until marriage or later, or even later in the case of female adult children, who sometimes act as second caretakers in some cultures.

But today, are cheap apartments even a thing? 2000k for an apartment in second or third tier and below is outrageous but it's the norm now. And new apartments are all these "luxury" joints. Hope you want to pay 3k and up for a studio!

I was seeing some Gen X parents on social media saying they've relented on having their kids leave their nest. Mostly because they understand math lol. Some are thinking about developing family compounds, tiny homes etc.

It's an interesting change In the US, which has a very individualist streak, especially with children leaving the nest. But it looks like economics is undefeated.
