Looks interesting but the scale looks off even more so than in the original OOT.
Thinking about it, OOT was kind of sloppy even for 1998 standards.
Crudely editted pre-rendered models, untextured surfaces and lots of glitches and framedrops in places where there shouldn't be.
anyone watching the state of soy?
Spoiler: (click to show)(click to hide) i just wanted to type state of soy
wow that new ken levine game doesn't look like a bioshock reskin in space at all
Hermen Hulst was always a big fan of PlayStation portables so it wouldn't surprise me if he brought it back from the dead.
Especially when basically every PC hardware vendor is making a Switch/Steamdeck clone.

This is highlighted best by the endgame, which is a series of checkbox tasks. It forces you to fight the final boss multiple times but also introduces a new currency that you have to earn – yes, by doing repetitive side missions – before you’re able to trigger the main mission. It attempts to mix things up by giving you contracts, which are supposed to encourage you to engage with all the tools at your disposal, but even these suffer from a chronic lack of imagination. One – I am telling the truth – asks you to “reload ten times”. So I just fired a bullet and reloaded ten times. Kerching!
I love how fucking incompetent the Silent Hill 2 remake looks.
Press X to escape a grab attack by an enemy with no arms.
You'd imagine it's a parody if you didn't know it's Bloober at the helm. Christ, what dogshit devs.

Cool, a Resetera user containment zone.
Sweet, I love CCP-approved Disney content.

What a terrible reason to enter the gaming business.
My bro says that in addition to Toys For Bob and Sledgehammer more lay offs are happening at Infinity Ward and Blizzard.

That guy sounds like an asshole, but he’s not wrong.
Skull and Bones Beta is pretty, and moment to moment was okay, but AC BLACK FLAG does everything better if you’re only interested in solo play.
The thing I haven’t heard anybody talk about so far is that UBI’s mobile Black Flag game is essentially a lower spec version of everything they did with S&B.
Identically, there is no disembarking from the ship, there is no combat when playing as a biped, only when playing as a ship. All of the active-gameplay is experienced as a ship, loot items can be found floating, and must be actively retrieved. You can attack forts or ships. There are factions.
The biggest difference is the SIMULTANEOUSLY shared world and being able to play PVP in addition to PVE.
I expected this tbh, a release in March just like the previous Switch.
Still plenty of Switch games releasing this year and some time to clear out our Xenoblade - Fire Emblem backlogs.
I read on X (twitter) the writing in Suicide Squad is actually good because it takes place on Earth - Fourtwentysixtynine. That's the DC multiverse where all the writing is dogshit.
I take back my criticisms.

Are these the same people who said they heard from multiple sources that the Switch 2 was coming in 2021, 2022, 2023 AND 2024? The same people who heard from multiple sources that Xbox was going third party?
Yeah, fuck those people.
No, these are the Bloomberg / Stonk Market people learning from third parties and suppliers why their earnings will be poorer than expected.
And maybe they think that if they leak it, Nintendo will change their minds and crunch along with them.
Which is doubtful.
Switch 2 is going to be backwards compatible right? I might buy one to check out the two Switch 1 zeldas
