I know there's all this talk of Trump turning the US into a dictatorship if he wins, but honestly it's likely going to be more like 2016 Part 2 IMO. As in… incompetence at the actual job of President and being loud and racist and obnoxious on social media. Absolutely NOTHING will get done if they don't control all three branches like 2016-2018. He'll try to go after his enemies but that shit will sputter out like all his election fraud lawsuits.

Old emulators were actually emulating things, whereas modern ones are more like translation layers. It’s arguably a faster and more efficient way to do things, and makes emulating recent consoles feasible more quickly, but it’s also why compatibility is all over the place.
