It makes me wonder how many other people here could be having the thought process of "eh it won't be that bad, we survived 2016!" The omega version of privilege.

And to be honest- that post ignores that a lot of people DIDN'T survive Trump's first presidency, whether that be from suicide, COVID, or homicide from one of Trump's deranged followers.

If Trump does win, I'm illegally fleeing to Canada or Ireland and hope that my family isn't deported back to the U.S.

Canada is apparently also about to go Nazi, and Trump's people have stated their intentions to declare war on Mexico. Few places to run to on this continent.

I'm honestly terrified. I'm white and male so obviously that gives me some protection in Trump's America. But I have two young daughters, my wife had an abortion (fetus didn't have a fully formed heart), and I work for the public school system so I would definitely be up against the wall.
